brand, product, benefits, flexibility (not applicable anymore)

    Cons

leadership, flexibility, salary, communication, growth opportunites

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Very very poor management.. About time to lean over the problems and listen to your employees, your sales organization is broken at every possible different level, need to start tackling the problems asap

Dublin office reputation is going down, recruitment will become practically impossible as time goes by

Gone to hell in a handcart in Dublin

    I worked at Citrix Systems

    Pros

    Location good. Some nice facilities.

    Cons

HR completely sided with management and absolutely no empathy or support for the employee. She is disingenuous and not to be trusted. Rest of Management well intentioned but too middle management powerless and toothless dogs. Culture in Dublin one of general depression and high churn rate.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Shake up HR - support the employee and get some darn Induction and On-Boarding sorted out!

    Pros

very flexible workplace, good salary. work from home is allowed in my department, which is a great plus and equivalent to a €10k increase in gross salary on petrol and food costs alone!

    Cons

your experience of citrix will depend completely on what line manager you get. if you get a bad line manager, you will have a bad experience, if you get a good one, you will love it

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

to some managers - allow your employees flexibility, to retain them

I worked at Citrix Systems full-time

    Pros

there used to be lots of pros. There used to be good ideas and good atmosphere. There used to be good benefits. There used to be good work-life balance. You used to be able to work from everywhere which is the company's policy and philosophy. You used to come to work happy in the morning.
All of that is long gone, the only pro left is free breakfast.

    Cons

First - Do not trust the hiring manager - whoever it is. They will tell you this is an acc. manager role and that there is space to grow inside the team and there is a big opportunity to make money but all this is right now is a telesales job.
Management had no consideration nor respect for the team members who were hired to do a completely different job, shifting from an account managing role to a telesales focus and demanding 60 calls a day to sell support contracts, you need to log on and off on your phones when you go to toilet or any other break. Not only this is perceived as a demotion as it sounds as well like constructive dismissal. Also over here it's "their way or the high way". No help at all from anyone from management, including HR, they are just as bad, it's like talking to a wall.
Right now, the atmosphere here is awfully bad, there's a lot of pressure and tension and there's a lot of unhappy people. Management only helps themselves and are very, very poor actually, some of the worst I've seen in my professional career.
At Citrix you are penalized for working here a while. Do not join this team if you want to be happy.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You are awful!! You don't know how to keep your best people and you don't know how to value your employees. I am so disappointed on how things turned out here.

Keeping your employees motivated only gives you better results, it's a fact. Upset people and they will not work as hard and eventually everyone will leave and the knowledge will be gone but maybe that's what you are aiming at.

    Pros

Breakfast, table tennis, working from home.

    Cons

No management at ALL, the current managers working in Citrix Dublin office are the worst I have seen since a while. They will NEVER support the team or stand-up for them but instead follow everything the management in the U.S is telling them to do.
The tasks I was supposed to do, the position I was hired for are nothing with the reality of my daily basis. The team transform into a Tele-Sales team

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Change jobs, it is clear that it doesn't work for you as you have your unhappy face every day, moody. Why staying in a company when you could be somewhere else with a fresh start.

I worked at Citrix Systems full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Nice goodies like free sodas, fruits, ping-pong table, parties and etc. International group and they try to integrate people.

    Cons

Interview process was really basic, they hire some people to senior level (like me), but most of the people hired did not had any work experience before. Almost 0 training, it is more like learn yourself, learn with some people, look at the tickets history and fool the customer. They put more consideration to the people that follow what they want then to really good and experienced people (like being on forums answering questions, creating useless article than really working in complicated tickets). Salary differences are abysmal. Structure of the team and the company changes too much and it is inefficient. No opportunities to grow to other areas, except using politics. Bad HR.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Better training, better interview process, a more defined career path, more equality, approachable HR.

I have been working at Citrix Systems full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    Fast paced working environment.
Plentiful learning resources to expand skills and accreditations.
Build relationships with largest Citrix partners across Europe.
    Exposure to large scale environments.

    Cons

Slow hiring policy as compared to the extremely fast growth.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Changes to Processes and Procedures are taking a long time to implement and long term strategy for these is vague and constantly changing. As the surge in growth is constantly increasing, ability to adapt and cope with the volume is struggling right across the support structure. Extremely happy environment to work in and grow a career.Lack of product quality /Stability is noted by all customer and not really taken seriously by management.

    I worked at Citrix Systems

    Pros

    - Free fruit
    - Free coke cans
    - tennis table in the kitchen area
    - Dublin a nice city to live in, office in good location

    Cons

    - tech support is a dead end job with little or no career
    - job experience almost impossible to be "sold" outside the company
    - you get the expertise of a product specialist, not of an IT professional

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think some managers got promoted when the company was growing fast, and they do not have real management skills
