    Pros

    Willingness to change
    Free snacks
    Free fancy coffee
Opportunities to move laterally to better fit your skills once hired
Work from home one day a week
Good age, experience, and gender mix
    Updated office
    Gym
Paid volunteer days (2 a year)
Good 401K, health care and donation matching
They really do care about things other than money (volunteering, health, and work/life balance)

    Cons

Not many, just like anywhere you could get a bad manager, but you have many opportunities to change position if this is the case.
Lower salaries sometimes causes the best talent to leave.

    Advice to Management

Keep it up! Trust your employees to keep doing well.

    Pros

-Overall: Company as a whole is a great place to work. Citrix has a wonderful employee culture with trust, flexibility, and appreciation for the employees.
    -Free healthy snacks
    -Free coffee/tea
-Newly updated office space/decor allow for a positive work atmosphere.
    -Overall, great team members/peers

    Cons

The Order Management department is continuing to spiral down hill and has become toxic.
-Sr. Manager is a micro-manager that does not trust any of the team members that actually do the work. He continues to raise expectations without any empathy, appreciation, or respect for the team members.
-All work and NO PLAY structure in place.
    -No allowance for flexibility.
-Manager believes he is more superior than the rest of the team and does not embrace Citrix's culture or core values.
-Manager has his own agenda in mind and will sacrifice morale in order to prove his worth.
-Manager is disrespectful, constantly changing his mind, and does not provide clear, solid direction for the team.

    Advice to Management

Remember that people are diligently working to meet the goals - NOT ROBOTS!

    Pros

    Very solid product to sell.
    Great corporate culture.
    Compensation.
    Growth opportunities.
    Solid management team.

    Cons

No "work from home" option for Inside Sales.

Micro management (from VP level) cloaked as a never ending "Sales Contest". While it is definitely good structure for the new reps having every possible sales metric tracked daily and displayed on a stack ranked scoreboard it can be a bit much for the seasoned reps, especially when combined with mandatory detailed Weekly Reports that must be prepared outlining the same metrics plus every other sales activity you've performed the part week.

    Advice to Management

How about letting the Senior TM's work from home a day or two (or more)? It would not only make us ecstatic but it would give the new reps something to strive for!

Ease up just a bit on the micro management and you'll increase employee satisfaction considerably. Better yet, just keep the metrics visibility for the management team and coach the under performers during their weekly 1 on 1.

    Pros

    - Very good employee benefits
    - Great office location and amenities
    - Compensation average for Florida market, but below national averages.
    - Good products, especially Citrix Online and Netscaler

    Cons

    - Poorly managed company
    - Middle Management (Managers, Senior Managers, Group Managers, Directors, Sr Directors) is very deficient. Not a lot of talent, abuse of internal promotions (people that started with the company 15+ years ago) that reward friendships and loyalties rather than talent and results.
    - Favoritism in promotions and salary raises that mines morale and sends the wrong message to employees.
    - Company has got used to the opposite of lean operations, inflated budgets, demands for increased head count with no clear deliverables, etc.
    - Very political environment
    - Directors rarely provide direction to employees (the whole reason they are there IMHO)

    Advice to Management

    - Resolve HR Problems, remove multiple layers of fat in the org charts
    - Focus on your employees, human capital is your main asset (at par with IP)
    - Do not allow favoritism, which typically starts at the C level and trickles down. Leadership team should lead by example. It is unforgivable to have executives promote favoritism and boys clubs.
    - Invite old timers that don't add value into retirement
    - Streamline the process to fire people that are not going to help Citrix in the long run
    - Implement LEAN operations across every department

    Pros

Great minds, some genuine smart people. Many opportunities.

    Cons

Very clannish if you are not in the right circles. Sometimes extremely political.

    Advice to Management

Make opportunities available for all not just a chosen few and clean up the sleeping bedfellows

    Pros

The culture at Citirx is unparalleled as a place that hires really smart people who are naturally nice human beings...rare combination.

    Cons

CEO is making some really interesting decisions these days that are leaving some folks scratching their heads.

    Advice to Management

    Execution, execution, execution

    Pros

Excellent pay and benefits. Hard working, smart teams members with a desire to perform. Excellent vision which lead the company to be a leader in its area.

    Cons

Execution has been a challenge. While the vision is great ,the path to executing is not clear to middle and line employees. Different groups have different visions which they execute independently of each other.

    Advice to Management

Get a plan and measure it. Pick only a few projects so that they can succeed. Do not tolerate management or teams that are looking out for their own interests and not the company's or customer's.

    Pros

Great emphasis on work-life balance, good benefits, pleasant environment, access to discounts in technology and other perks but need to figure it out on you own - not advertised.

    Cons

Some of the groups are highly political and give a lot more weight to blind loyalty over actual results and performance. The culture varies vastly between departments and groups.

    Advice to Management

Be careful - you are demotivating your employees by placing too much importance on the wrong things.
