I have been working at Citrix Systems as a contractor (less than a year)

    Pros

Training, Support, Largest Employer in South Florida, Wellness Rooms, Free Snacks, Drinks and Food.

    Cons

Lowest Paid Employer compared to other employers, Culture is ran by managers that were pretty much hired from craigslist and because of their lack of vision, employee morale is an all time low, Contractors are treated like viruses. We can't do anything with full time employees. Citrix stopped paying for weight loss surgery because it didn't seem "popular". I guess you can say that when all of your sales team is thin college graduates.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Instead of restructuring full time employees and contractors, restructure your leadership. I'm 27 years old and can probably perform better than majority of the senior directors. Employees continuously gossip about how bad they are treated. It's hard working on the 3rd floor of 851 because managers dump work and never praise successes.

    Pros

Citrix give a lot of flexibility with their employees.

    Cons

Lately the way they are laying off people, they got rid of (in my opinion), some really talented individuals and kept people they should of got rid of.

I worked at Citrix Systems full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Good compensation, much to learn. Depending on your manager, you have the ability to move up, opportunities to develop yourself and flexibility to work from anywhere.

    Cons

Unfortunately, some bad apples are stifling. Sad to see those are permitted to thrive now. Company has exploded and not been able to properly handle the growth as key leadership has gone downhill. Over 20 mil for a new office with a living garden and then layoffs a few month later? Definitely all about the numbers now, especially since the flaws have been exposed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You trimmed the wrong fat. Reward loyalty and listen to your employees. Treat them with respect and rid yourself of arrogant leadership only looking to beef up their bank account and LinkedIn profile. Stop outsourcing. Quality over quantity, your customers are paying attention and your competitors are licking their chops.

I have been working at Citrix Systems full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Citrix really cares about it's team members - they are very good at fostering a large "family" organizational atmosphere. It is one of the best companies I have ever worked for from this perspective. Excellent work life balance.

    Cons

They have just had a reorganization resulting in hundreds of layoffs. From a overall organizational perspective they handled it VERY well. Better than any organization I have worked with in the past. From my understanding, severance offers were considered more than fair by recipients, especially compared to similar organizations. The organization as a whole was very transparent in this process. The resulting staff reduction process was openly discussed and communicated by CEO. However, I was disappointed to see a bit of "non Citrix-like" maneuvering on the part of a executive team member(s). Given Citrix overall culture, I expected better.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please continue current/previous policies in how staff are treated, perks, benefits, and opportunities for growth etc. Know that that they are all appreciated - sadly sometimes, taken for granted, but appreciated nonetheless. Know that you have helped make Citrix a wonderful work environment. Please continue in that regard.

If at all possible, discourage actions by executive team member(s) that can be interpreted as self preservation with little to no regard to colleagues and team, especially in a time of transition. Intentional or not, it is perceived as such by broader organization. Although it clearly reflects more poorly on the individual(s) and their twisting of Citrix culture/values than to the organiztion, it's still a source of negativity in an environment mostly free from it .

    Pros

Work life is great and opportunities for being a part of innovation and industry leadership initiatives are in abundance.

    Cons

This company has no loyalty to its employees. Watch your back about every 5 years.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn to be driven by the care and commitment to your most precious asset (employees) over the leading of Wall-street.

I have been working at Citrix Systems

    Pros

It's a super relaxed atmosphere, a la Silicon Valley. You can wear jeans and work anywhere in three buildings, even at the café if you want.

    Cons

It can be demanding at times if you're an employee as opposed to a contractor.

    Pros

Good leadership, the benefits are very competitive as well as the salary. The company culture is very enjoyable and the collaboration is outstanding.

    Cons

It can be difficult to move up in the organization if you don't put yourself out there. This can happen with any company but your manager isn't going to automatically give you opportunities, you have to search for them yourself and prove your worth.
