    Cons

401k is a little weak compared to what I have received in the past
    Compensation is below industry competitors

    Advice to Management

Retain top talent by compensating them. Executive leadership turnover has been concerning.

    Pros

Opportunity to move up quickly is definitely there. Ability to make fast cash as well. Some of the perks are cool.

    Cons

Work/life balance is non existent. Monotonous routine drives many away. But if you can do well here you can do well elsewhere.

    Pros

You can make more money cold calling here than anywhere else. Free food, cafeteria and gym, new building is AMAZING. Great location in Raleigh. Parties are amazing, at least one happy hour a month (open bar tab). You learn a lot very quickly.

    Cons

With all the positives of Citrix, there are just too many negatives. Most of the position is based on luck, which wouldn't be a huge negative if you weren't one bad month away from being terminated at all times. Have you exceeded your goal by 200% for 3 quarters in a row? Miss goal your monthly goal twice and you are gone. It didn't use to be this way, but they became a victim of their own success. Grew too fast, didn't have a clear sense of their identity.

Most of the managers you interact with are great people, ShareFile is adamant about only hiring managers from within so they understand your position and have already had success. But this cuts back because they tend to be young, irresponsible and mostly clueless. The VP of Sales is an amazing dude, and his energy is addictive. He created an incredible sales engine that is built upon respectable values.

Unbeknownst to him, the managers on the floor rarely uphold these values and very frequently ignore them. Favoritism is often given to the worst individuals. I could go on forever. This is such a promising position in theory, but up and on the ground, it is ugly.

    Advice to Management

Be sure to the sales team core values. Don't give special treatment to select employees (LQT), this creates a ton of resent on the team. Need to force someone to change verticals? Fine, but don't terminate them because they have to spend half the month retraining and rebuilding a pipeline. You are losing a ton of talent because you treat employees as canon fodder during resource allocation.

  7. Working as a summer intern the experience was extremely helpful in learning sales training and cold calling.

    Pros

The atmosphere was very relaxed but when the time came everyone knew they needed to get down to business. Games around the office including ping-ping, pool, xbox, corn hole, etc. kept the mood very light and productive at the same time.

    Cons

During the time I was there the company was transitioning to another building which made the place I worked out of a little cramped and they moved the interns around to make sure everyone had desks.

    Advice to Management

Everyone was super approachable from the lowest managers all the way up the chain. I enjoyed working with them and mostly all of the managers treated the interns with respect with one manager in particular who did not and who would whistle and snap and clap at interns as if we were pets, which I found to be unprofessional and demeaning of course.

    Pros

The pay is ok and the atmosphere is fun and unique.

    Cons

Half of the job you can control and the other half is mostly luck. You have some training but it's after your shift. By day two, you're fully immersed into your role. The hiring process is long and it takes only two months to lose employment.

    Advice to Management

Offer more training and care about your people.
