    Pros

Flexibility Great pay Great work environment

    Cons

They hire too many "contractors" and it will take a long time before you can convert to a regular employee. Company is growing too fast and restructuring result in many laid offs

I worked at Citrix Systems full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The company culture is strong, with good work-life balance. The products are well respected. Senior management took time to listen to employees and were quite flexible.

    Cons

If anything, the company may have gotten a little too big. Changes came slowly, and it felt like the company was more worried about acquisitions than what was going on in house.

    Advice to Management

Don't neglect the products and people who are already under your roof, you've got a good thing going.

I have been working at Citrix Systems full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Citrix says it is an ethical company that believes in its values, and it follows through on that commitment. Benefits are competitive. Work is challenging but never a "grind you to death" situation like some other major tech companies. The company is huge and promotes mobility.

    Cons

As a company traded on the stock market, it is under constant pressure to perform quarter over quarter, sometimes this pressure can interfere with long term goals.

    Advice to Management

Just keep being awesome. I had a problem with my health insurance wanting to deny payment for a surgery that my wife had, that was in-network. They were billed as "out of network" for the surgeon's assistant, and were not willing to negotiate over it. I ended up emailing HR and the CEO of Citrix, Mark Templeton, and he personally replied in 45 minutes and helped me get it straightened out. This is a beautiful example of how Mr. Templeton and Citrix actually do care about every one of their employees, and I am proud to work for this company. My advice to management is you should never lose that awareness that your employees are your most valuable asset.

I worked at Citrix Systems full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Global corporation with a major presence in South Florida (one of the few!), positive company culture, great benefits, interesting work, intelligent co-workers.

    Cons

The company is currently undergoing many changes, with senior leaders leaving, etc. It's a turbulent time for Citrix right now, but hopefully the company will pull through successfully as it has many times in the past.

    Advice to Management

Continue to articulate a clear strategic direction to reassure employees and the public.
