    Pros

Citrix give a lot of flexibility with their employees.

    Cons

Lately the way they are laying off people, they got rid of (in my opinion), some really talented individuals and kept people they should of got rid of.

    Pros

The Citrix culture is amazing and their mantra of "Work hard, play hard" is evident in everything they do. Great community. Good benefits and salary. Opportunities to work remotely in most cases and a causal dress code. As mentioned in another review, there are also good opportunities for advancement and regular performance reviews. _Direct_ (with emphasis) management trusts and respects you and treats you as a professional. Beverage and snack perks, and a hot breakfast on Fridays.

    Cons

A somewhat new addition to the middle management with the Support organization has a viewpoint that runs in stark contrast to the Citrix culture and as such, working within this area has become less about caring for the customer and more about metrics. At the time of writing, salary offerings/raises are trending in a negative direction in comparison to the rest of the market.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stick hard to your core values of treating all people with respect, honesty, integrity, and compassion and shake off anyone in the organization that doesn't meet that standard.

    Pros

Lots of free food and drinks, fun break rooms, great coworkers.

    Cons

Very monotonous, didn't see many people getting promoted, lots of people "hanging out" rather than working.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Promote hard workers, keep the fun atmosphere but maybe encourage those who seem to not do much but talk and play games to do a little more work.

I have been working at Citrix Systems full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Citrix really cares about it's team members - they are very good at fostering a large "family" organizational atmosphere. It is one of the best companies I have ever worked for from this perspective. Excellent work life balance.

    Cons

They have just had a reorganization resulting in hundreds of layoffs. From a overall organizational perspective they handled it VERY well. Better than any organization I have worked with in the past. From my understanding, severance offers were considered more than fair by recipients, especially compared to similar organizations. The organization as a whole was very transparent in this process. The resulting staff reduction process was openly discussed and communicated by CEO. However, I was disappointed to see a bit of "non Citrix-like" maneuvering on the part of a executive team member(s). Given Citrix overall culture, I expected better.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please continue current/previous policies in how staff are treated, perks, benefits, and opportunities for growth etc. Know that that they are all appreciated - sadly sometimes, taken for granted, but appreciated nonetheless. Know that you have helped make Citrix a wonderful work environment. Please continue in that regard.

If at all possible, discourage actions by executive team member(s) that can be interpreted as self preservation with little to no regard to colleagues and team, especially in a time of transition. Intentional or not, it is perceived as such by broader organization. Although it clearly reflects more poorly on the individual(s) and their twisting of Citrix culture/values than to the organiztion, it's still a source of negativity in an environment mostly free from it .

I have been working at Citrix Systems

    Pros

Citrix offers industry comparative benefits and pay. They focus on work life balance which is proven by their ability to allow working from home when appropriate for the position. They also invest highly in training employees for their current and future rules in the company.

    Cons

Layoffs, although a cost of working in the public sector are frequent and don't always follow logic and are often politically motivated.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Ensure that decisions made are based on sound business and not on the desire to save a particular team member that may not know the role they are being put in to save their job.
