    Pros

    The work culture at culture at Citrix is its greatest feature. Even as a remote employee they make a strong effort to make you feel like a valuable team member. Recently they held a team building and training even in New Orleans flying in staff from around the country. It really reinforced the sense of comradery and reinforced our importance within the company. Training is offered in abundance and they allow plenty of paid time to take advantage of it.

    Cons

    As with most tech jobs things move fast. Sometimes I feel like the flash I am running so fast.

    Continue your focus on team building it is one of the qualities that I appreciate most.

    Pros

    Decent Base Salary and Benefits. Bonus is very low compared to other technology companies. Only tech company in South Florida

    Cons

    Very poor talent. They struggle to recruit quality talent in South Florida. Even in the Santa Clara office they are only able to recruit leftover talent, no one from any of the leading universities. If you are asked to relocate to South Florida, do not move here. The talent is sub-par and you will learn nothing. All leaders come either from acquisitions or have risen too fast within the company and are not qualified to perform their role. It is the furthest from a meritocracy where talent is nurtured and promoted.

    Eliminate middle-management layers and re-evaluate hiring practices to ensure the best and brightest talent is hired and retained.

    If you are a technical person you will love the challenge in this company. Company culture is awesome. They also offer work from home.

    Ability to work from home, a lot of smart people, compensated well for high performance

    Cons

    Can feel like a number sometimes - with over 600 people in one office, the bottom line is easy to prioritize. Need to figure out how to deal with diminishing returns on the sales team in ways other than brute force and making more calls.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Learn to pivot - just because something worked in 2012 with 50 sales reps doesn't mean it scales to a team 400% of that size.

    Pros

    Super flexible hours, good work-life balance
    Nice, friendly people who are all approachable
    The work-shifting capabilities, it's so nice to be able to work from home
    Lots of catered lunches, snack room, gym onsite, good cafe

    Cons

    Getting larger, more departments are being overlooked
    Management can be inefficient
    Career opportunities aren't clear

    They guarantee the first three months of commissions

    Cons

    They give you no ramp up time and have unrealistic expectations. You are completely on your own when you join here. You get zero support from your sales manager. Don't go here if you have any other offers or want some stability because you won't have any at Citrix. Churn and burn with the AE's. My clients told me that I was their 5th rep in the last two years.

    Give salespeople time to ramp up. It is unrealistic to give them 90 days when there is no pipeline.

    Pros

    CEO is passionate about Citrix. He is a great leader and a humble man. Can work from home and limited travel. Good products and limited competition in most of the areas Citrix sells.

    Cons

    Expect your territory to be small and your quota high with below industry average pay if new to the sales team. Management plays favorites in the field with accounts and territories as there is no set criteria on what type of reps get what accounts.

    No one in my management chain ever sold for Citrix and have little understandings of the process to get things done. True leadership is missing in the direct line field sales management as they are too focused on looking good for their VP's. I worked hard to pull in a large order early and then was criticized for forecast accuracy.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Make managers more accountable and place rules on account assignments. Focus annual survey more on the mico vs. macro view of the company as one bad apple spoiled it for me at Citrix.
