ProsDepartment bosses were very good. Work was helping students, faculty, staff. Very satisfying. Hours were flexible. Good experience.

ConsMust sign away unemployment and social security to be hired as a student worker. I worked part-time for three year and have no unemployment.

Great administration, strong focus on student success without diminishing quality of instruction.

    Adjunct (Current Employee) Glendora, CA

ProsCampus is well-maintained and attractive. Great library that is well-staffed. Friendly and competent security. Strong communication between administration and instructors. Good relationships between deans, full-timers and adjuncts. Strong focus on student success with a dynamic veteran's program. DSP&S is accommodating but still puts lots of emphasis on student responsibility. Use of technology on campus and for students is thoughtful, though not always the most cutting-edge.

ConsToo much reliance on adjuncts. Hiring process for full-time, tenure-track positions can be sloppy. No COLA in a long, long time (8 years?) Human resources is probably the weakest department that struggles to take responsibility for errors. Childcare center is closed.

Advice to Senior ManagementReopen the childcare center and look into COLA.

    Satisfactory place to work

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Glendora, CA

ProsFriendly and collaborative staff. Sometimes difficult to get attention regarding new courses and curriculum revisions - but courses offer a decent variety for students and teachers.

ConsFavoritism among faculty in selection of adjunct assignments, with no preference given for seniority or high quality of student feedback.
