    Sink of swim

    Loan Administrator (Current Employee)
    Century City, CA

ProsIts a good company to work for and there is a lot of room to grow.

ConsManagement in varies departments have a big influence over your career and can lead to a very challenging environment. You will either sink or swim.

Advice to Senior ManagementConsider getting to know the people who work for you and practice a TRUE open door policy.

    Horrible place to work

    Support (Current Employee)
    Los Angeles, CA

    ProsSomewhat high paystub
    Not much to do
    Down town

ConsBeware IT managers are disgruntled, not educated well, use of some technology maintenance is limited to getting free advise when they do interviews with candidates hoping to help them to get a job, for example share point job been advertised for more than year !
no parking and they expect you to park in 5 miles and take a bus !
    No training compensation
    Forget being sent to seminars
Horrible clothing regulations , double standard

Advice to Senior ManagementRead your internal managers linked in! They are advertising their own company first ,seems you don't pay them enough

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Could be better, could be worse.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsThe work life balance is good overall, but that's because I'm in a satellite office with some good local managers.

ConsThey don't like to invest in their infrastructure, specifically technology, unless you are in a high margin area of the company. The rest of us are left to suffer through attrition. They really use resource dollars poorly, yet always try to cut costs from areas where there isn't a large amount of waste instead, which is due to lack of any kind of definitive COO.

Advice to Senior ManagementHire a COO that can unify groups within the bank. Ayn Randian resource allocation is a very poor way to run a company that is trying to grow (see Eddit Lampers, Sears).

Professional environment with experienced colleagues. Low turnover in most departments. Good benefits with profit sharin

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsProfessional environment with experienced colleagues. Low turnover in most departments. Good benefits with profit sharing in 401k. Good work life balance. Focus on client service.

ConsNot a lot of space for career advancement. If you get hired into a department, then limited ability to move unless you have an advocate in another department. Discuss developing colleagues, but focus is to hire outside to fill positions.

    Great group of people.

    IT Technician (Former Employee)
    Los Angeles, CA

ProsMy team was smart and supportive.

ConsThe bank is 15 years behind the times. The technology and structure of their workflow is slow and antiquated.

Advice to Senior ManagementGet with the times!!!

    It's ordinary your work place.

    Assistant Vice President (Current Employee)
    Los Angeles, CA

    ProsSlow work pace.
I don't think this is pros to me but for someone it might.

ConsNone really shares vital information with peer. For a single question, you may have to wait for a week then you ended up to sending a email to your manager and cc the peer has been avoiding sharing information. Then you got the information in 5 sec.

Advice to Senior ManagementPromotion is based on favoritism not based on talent. I saw many good talent left the bank because of this.
