I have been working at City National Bank of Oklahoma full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Family oriented. Works with family emergency and allows time off flexibly. Nice people.

    Cons

They say all you want to hear, but never do it. They grossly under pay their employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be your word. Do what you say you will do. Advertising is important for us to meet our job expectations. What you pay reflects the value you have in your employees. Employees will only be as good as they think they are worth.

    Pros

    Family like environment, friendly customers.

    Cons

Big on sales, if quotas are not met things get stressful.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Lay off of "prospecting goals". There are a ton of successful banks that do not require the bankers to go out and bring in new customers.

    Pros

Excellent training. Great HR, Lending and Customer Service department!!

    Cons

Senior management on the retail side was/is very cliquish, also operates very politically and dishonest. Senior management elects "favorites" and promotes them.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be personable, get to know your employees, pay more and genuinely care about your people! Be engaged and make effort to get to know them.

I have been working at City National Bank of Oklahoma full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

A lot of room for job mobility in comparison to the more renown financial institutions.

    Cons

Pay is not competitive. Archaic systems. Turn-over rate is very high.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay your employees accordingly; the cost to retain your hard-working employees will benefit you in the long-run.

    Pros

this company will train you from the ground up. will mentor you. will be flexible.

    Cons

horrible pay. the benefit package they offer is too expensive for most employees to afford.expect retail branches to stay open on most federal holidays when most customers do not visit because they expect bank account to be closed. its a complete morale killer for employees. they work you on your feet for long hours expecting you to learn every aspect of banking. there is absolutely no focus!!! they run about 5 different contest at once trying to get you focused?!??!so you always feel incomplete. very muddy. no clear direction. huge employee turnover. just way too dysfunctional.

please pay more. please make retail more comfortable for employees. listen to them. please give a clear focus.
