"CUB is not a Bank, it’s a Petty Shop" , Get on board and you will regret !
    Caution MBA/PGDM freshers!

I worked at City Union Bank full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Tamil will do, no need to know anything else... work will go on.....
Break the rules....or else they will break you...

    Cons

    * Work for minimum of 10 hrs and max its may go up to 14 hrs.. because after that you won't be in a state to work or else work is always abundant.
*Number of MBA/PGDM candidates working as clerks nearly constitutes 60% of CUB employees, all were lured by the statement "you will promoted to officer very soon".
    * you can notice after entering the branch that the mentality of getting promoted to officer is the only driving force to work, which won't happen as only 425 branches exists till date, if you just think practically its like "people buying lottery tickets in a hope of winning but its not practical as the lottery owner will get bankrupted if he declares price for each ticket".
*1:3 employee ratio CUB:other bank in branches for same quantum of business.
*Forget your personal life..or carrier outside CUB as you don't have occasion to prepare or avail leaves.
    * You will not be empowered, your suggestion is a waste.
At last the unethical thing that CUB indulge in:
    * They will ask you to submit all your original certificates and once you oblige you are dead...
Your are locked in a cage called CUB. If you want to get out you have to pay training and recruiting expense (so called) or else they won't give your certificate back.
HRMD is one of the worst I have ever seen, they won't respond for your mails even if you escalate it to the MD.
They don't know any labor law, they don't even know that keeping of certificates and not returning when asked is a crime and Managing director and other directors can be punished according to LAW.
They won't justify their claims by giving cost breakup of training expenses.
    They are the real Robbers!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

As I think you are planning, Sell CUB to some other bank, you are immature to Handle the Bank,
Centralized management is good for a small petty shop not for a bank.
Getting business is important but always eat what you can digest and always think about your infrastructure and employee strength before getting business to a branch.
Balloon will burst if you overfill it, and all your employees will leave.
