Pros – It is great if you like being of service to your community.
Cons – Lack of raises the last three years has kind of been a bummer.
Advice to Senior Management – Take care of the people who really produce results and weed out those who only give lip service and excuses.

Pros – Good benefits and job security.
Cons – Lack of pay raises, administration incompetent, poor leadership and decision making within the police and human resources departments, and lack of respect for employees.
Advice to Senior Management – Anyone that "grew up" in the Annarino administration of the Police Department needs to be removed from a leadership position. Stop spending countless dollars on surveys to assess whether something is feasible or not, make a decision and go with it, or not. For a small city, there seems to be a lack in oversight of the various departments that comprise city government, and a plan to improve this lack of accountability would greatly improve the image of the city as well as prevent future controversy and lawsuits.

Cons – having to deal with those who are kool-aid drinkers
