Pros – Decent work environment, can learn about all facets of municipal govt, decent pay and benefits

Cons – goals can change after each election, little opportunity to provide feedback to Sr leadership, govt does not go near the cutting edge due to beauracracy. Little opportunity for advancement.

Advice to Senior Management – Listen to the employees that do the work and have the experience. Citizens fell you should work for free.

Cons – Being a government job everything is bid on which means always behind on technology.

Advice to Senior Management – Offer more performance related review, deal with discipline individually rather than as a whole

Pros – As far as working at the golf course goes, I'd say the best reason to work for the City of Bloomington is for the free golf. The co-workers are also usually very nice as well.

Cons – No room for moving up in the organization. You're a minimum wage employee and your job is treated as such.

Pros – City of Bloomington have very friendly co-workers and that makes it a nice place to be, and also their salaries are high compared to other cities around

Cons – There are no benefits to part time employees, hard to get full time employment, while they keep on employing new employees

Advice to Senior Management – benefits for part time employees would be good and also consider part-time employees who wants to get full time, bofore hiring new employee
