    Pros

Pay is competitive, city is well-managed, most employees are very friendly and eager to help.

    Cons

Poorly run individual departments, very top-heavy with high, mid and low-level managers, no work-life balance, benefits extremely expensive with each passing year, no regard for employee morale.

    Advice to Management

Worry more about employee morale so that, at the very least, your overall work product will improve. Offer better training opportunities. Treat employees with respect and communicate better - not everything has to be a huge secret. Promote creativity and offer more employee support.

    Pros

Decent pay compared to other city jobs. Have met some great overall people

    Cons

Superintendent treats everyone like dogs. Always down talking the employees. We dont get raises/get our hours cut when the superintendent makes over 100K.

    Advice to Management

Find someone who actually likes their job. There doesnt seem to be any happiness or enthusiasm from upper level management. There is no positive feedback regarding a good performance and yet there seems to be a surplus of negative feedback.
