    Pros

Very flexible hours and understanding of the student's school schedule. Hands on experience with equipment and IT technologies. Complete freedom to learn and start projects. Very friendly and welcoming work environment. Gain experience with real world Fire, Police, and 911 technologies.

    Cons

Lots of politics. No opportunity to be hired after the internship

    Advice to Management

Continue supporting the internship program and don't bring in interns to the organization's politics and drama.

    Pros

There were no pros to working here, the definition of a dead end job.

    Cons

Administration does not give time off, even when there are major health issues. Was let go because I took too much time off taking care of my sick mother. Called to say I could return but was told the hr manager wasn't in and would return my call. Never got a call back, got a letter post marked the day after I called, letting me go after 6+ years.

    Advice to Management

    Treat your employees like people.

    Pros

Benefits at the time were good.

    Cons

Management has their own rules for those they like and would promote people without an opportunity for anyone else to apply also a lot of neoptism.

    Advice to Management

Apply policies to employees the same regardless of who they know or are related to.

    Pros

Environment is friendly, hours are focused around students (there are more hours June through august than the rest of the year). Management is very good at working with unique situations.

    Cons

Not many opportunities for specific career development. Also, pay is lower than equivalent jobs around the area.

    Pros

The ability to work hands on with the future leaders of the community and be able to guide them and mentor them into a fruitful future through a strong education.

    Cons

The programs lacked more participation in the school community and would have achieved greater success if it worked alongside with the school district.

    Advice to Management

I believe though it is a young and growing program, it still has many areas of potential growth and improvement.
