I have been working at City of Everett full-time for more than a year

ProsSupportive bosses, great subordinates, financially well managed.

ConsSome administrative systems are cumbersome. Can't install software on my city computer because only IT is allowed to do that.

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep up your efforts to keep Everett going on sound financial path for the future.

Good summer job.

Laborer for the Parks Department. (Former Employee)

I worked at City of Everett

ProsThis was a summer job and it worked perfectly for me because I was in college and had summers off. It was great for that purpose. Many companies won't hire you for just three months. It was with the parks department and it was fun to work outside. It didn't pay all that well but then again it wasn't all that hard to do. It's true what they say about city workers. We had four to five of us doing the work of one to two guys. Mainly we just played cards and goofed around. I enjoyed my time there.

ConsThe people you work with are pretty lazy and don't want to work.

Advice to Senior ManagementWatch your people more. They don't work that hard and they're wasting tax payer's money.
