    Pros

You really feel like an asset. They invest in their employees and encourage them to grow and improve your skills. They allow for innovation and are always willing to at least listen to a new idea.

    Cons

There are some employees with an old school union perspective that believe they are owed since they have worked there for so long rather than because of their performance.

I have been working at City of Fremont California

    Pros

Flexability of hours and work schedule in most positions in most departments.
Short commute for me. The City is in the running for the new home of the Oakland A's. This will bring more revenue and jobs to the city and will help benefit the community as a whole. This will also help attact additional businesses to the city . this will also bring in additional high end housing, along with some additional affordable housing as well.
This will also aid in the opening of an additional fire station. If this project happens it will also help the city move forward in advancing the technology within the city as well as to the public.

    Cons

Some managers are promoted based on years with the city verses ability

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Train middle and Senior Managers properly. Improve on not micromanaging so much.
