I worked at City of Grapevine full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Great city, decent benefits, decent compensation for most positions. Opportunity to learn a lot about the industry that cannot be obtained elsewhere.

    Cons

Way too many hours are required and absolutely no comp time or compensation is given. Many archaic policies and procedures are in place and new ideas are not welcome. No flexibility at all. They will promise the moon during their courting phase, but once you sign on, those promises are forgotten.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Jump into the 21st century and realize that not everyone lives for their job. More work can be done from home than in the office 95% of the time. Upgrade your systems and train your people.
