I have been working at City of Portsmouth full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The City provides good benefits and competitive compensation for a local government. It is very progressive with use of technology. Coworkers and upper management are friendly and look out for each other.

    Cons

Challenging citizen groups to work with due to very high standards expected of the City government. This is not unexpected considering the amount of taxes and fees paid. But difficult to come up with any real cons.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Continue to make good hires.
