Pros – Great benefits, salary decent, appreciated by employees

Cons – Hard to get in. Has everyone taking tests when they do not intend to hire.

Cons – Political infighting, micromanagement, nepotism and complacency

Advice to Senior Management – Hire people with talent and not to get por repay favors

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Current Employee – been working at City of Yonkers full-time

Pros – IWhen I worked there, I found the city to have great benefits, dedicated co-workers, competetive salaries. I also had wide latitude to identify and initiate new projects.

Cons – Overall feeling of distrust by the newly elected officials towards long time senior managers. This has created a very uncomfortable environment for many rank & file.

Advice to Senior Management – Focus more on the tasks at hand rather than what was done by the previous administration.
