Former Employee – worked at Clarins USA full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – The entire organization was focused om helping the field force to achive net shipment and retail sales forecasts. Each individual department did their utmost to support the sales team and grow the brand. I had come from a "big three" cosmetic company and was instantly embraced by their corporate culture and how they were always striving to meet the needs of the field force.
Cons – Because of the fact that Clarins is a relatively flat organization, there was little room for growth. They did make note of this during the interview process, to be fair. I also think that several of our marketing programs had become somewhat stale and needed to be re-evaluated in order to be competitive within the industry. Worth noting that many changes took place atter 2004!

Pros – Clarins USA is a great company to work for, if you are willing to work hard, and be a team player. It's a company that you can be proud of.
Cons – Clarins is a smaller company in the cosmetics industry, so you will have to be a superstar to get noticed.

Pros – The product is Fantastic. Easy to sell! I love the Education they provide!
Cons – Hard to get promoted! Very long hours- would drive 2 and half hours and be expected to work a 8-9 hour day not including the drive, lots of pressure to make numbers. Exellent product but-THEE MOST DISFUNTIONAL COMPANY I KNOW.
Advice to Senior Management – The Management should get out in the field of ALL the stores. So they can see for themselves.

Current Employee – been working at Clarins USA full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – The company provides pretty good Benefits/401k, the ingredient and products are good and effective, you really don't need to lie to sell. The company is also very generous on gratis.
Cons – First and foremost, poor upper management is to blame. I wonder how some of the management team got to where they are, i.e: account execs, account managers. There are zero motivation for the hardest working group of employees-The so called "Account Development Specialist" don't live up to their name, maybe because Clarins treat them like the lowest of the barrel. You stand on your feet all day, you work like dogs but in the end there are no appreciation what so ever, you signed a contract stating your working days to be Tue-Sat, they breached their contract and make their employees work Sundays, sometimes both weekends. Our voices and advice will never be heard, maybe it is better to shut your mouth and do what you are supposed to do. Please don't hire "strong sales people" who only force products on the poor customers just to make their goals. Clarins need articulate, well polished individuals to represent and sell their products. What a shame this company has come to. Poor communication, gossiping management, dishonest employees, need to be weed out.
Advice to Senior Management – stop playing the game, step up and change the corrupted dishonest people you hire.

Current Employee – been working at Clarins USA
Pros – Free products for the skin and free make-up
Cons – CLARINS is a company of LOVE that treat the employees that work on the cosmetics floors with lots of HATE!
Advice to Senior Management – Management harras the employees all the time. They only want to to take the big bonus from CLARINS and forget who is working hard for them on the field. There is not recognition for Account Development Specialists, Counter Managers or Beauty Advisors.
