    Good place to work

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
    Clarion, PA

ProsSensible people; friendly environment, good benefits, good community, breath taking fall foliage, safe location, reasonable cost of living, has a hospital right in town.

ConsHard to advance because while the student population is increasing, the job growth lags. Winters are very cold, many cloudy days, takes two hours to get to Pittsburgh for better shopping than local

Advice to Senior ManagementYou are doing a good job and we appreciate your efforts. Keep our concerns in front of the government in Harrisburg!

You'll gain experience, but not much money

    Tutor (Current Employee)
    Clarion, PA

ProsHave only worked as a tutor, so I do not know anything about benefits packages. However:

My skills in my major have been greatly sharpened by helping others understand the material.
    They have direct deposit.

ConsThe pay is minimum wage for tutoring. If you have an appointment and the tutee does not show, you will only receive pay for 15 minutes (Making a paycheck unreliable and pittly.)

Advice to Senior ManagementIncrease the budget of the academic enrichment department so that they are able to pay tutors more. Underpayed = Underproducers
