    Cons

Poor work life balance. Dictatorship management style.

    Advice to Management

Need to listen to employees more. Consultant ranking system based on utilization is not fair.

    Pros

There is a tremendous amount of growth if you can and plenty of opportunity to show your worth to upper management.

    Cons

Company is growing faster than the company can handle and does not see the necessity to stabilize the innovative product lines

    Advice to Management

Invest in top performing resources and strengthen the niche departments that have been formed. Ensure that promotions do not leave gaps in the consulting core.

    Pros

Very knowledgeable colleagues A lot of networking opportunities Work from home option

    Cons

-heavy work load during summer months -too few benefits -people receiving undeserved promotions -management judges people based on quantity (no of billable hours) rather than quality -inappropriate or no feedback on performance -no raises -not a lot of training opportunities - no retention program; people are simply replaced after having had enough

    Advice to Management

Share profits with your employees Start an employee retention program Pay people what they're worth

    Pros

smart co-workers but people are too busy to help new employees mgmt seems to be moving in the right direction

    Cons

revenue is based on billable hours so people who work longer hours are noticed more not great internal development or training

    Advice to Management

offer more support for poeple to grow into more seniors position. people who stick with it will succeed but it is though tenancy of the individual and not based on any support from within

  9. Not good for long term employment

Current Employee - Administrative in Toronto, ON (Canada)

    Pros

    - Autonomy in your work - Knowledgeable, friendly people to work with - Flexible Hours - Work from home option - Excellent Networking opportunities - High demand for product so the company is growing very fast

    Cons

    - Promote people just to fill positions not because they are necessarily the right people for the job and there is no support or training to help these people develop into the right people for the job - No good or bad feedback on performance and therefore no raises or guidelines set on how to improve to receive raises or promotions - People are constantly being fired for not doing a good job - Departments that are not directly involved in with product like admin/finance/HR etc. are under appreciated, under utilized and under rated as an important part of the business - Decision made by upper management don't always take into account the impact on it's employees, internal systems or what the laws are. - Heavy work load which makes for long hours

    Advice to Management

You need to start looking at the impact your decisions make not just for your personal position perspective, but to the company as a whole. You are probably spending a lot of time and money replacing people.
