I have been working at Clarkston Consulting full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    - Fantastic opportunities to learn new things - Fast-paced work environments - Collaborative culture - Very flat organization; often work with senior leadership

    Cons

    - Grueling travel demands (though it's on par for the consulting industry - Training is often self-guided; reliance on self-study for just about everything

    Advice to Management

Seek out opportunities to offer flexible travel arrangements on the engagements. Make investments in training courses to ensure you're matching opportunities to learn a subject matter expertise with folks that are passionate about an area.

    Pros

The best part about working at Clarkston is the culture. Your co-workers become family whether you work in operations, consulting, or upper management. The work is challenging and rewarding and management genuinely cares about growing your skill set and your career.

    Cons

Clarkston is a smaller organization so you have to be willing to wear a lot of hats and be flexible.

I have been working at Clarkston Consulting full-time

    Pros

This is a great niche consulting firm to work for if you are interested in building expertise in the Consumer Products or Life Science industries. The company culture is laid back and upper management is very accessible. The firm is invested in its employees and there are plenty of training and growth opportunities. The firm takes great pride in providing excellent customer service to its clients.

    Cons

-Not the place to be if you are not interested in Consumer Products or Life Sciences. -Travel can be up to 100% which is typical in the consulting industry.
