I worked at Classic Party Rentals full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great people. Definitely some of the hardest working in terms of hours worked per day during the seasonal event season.

    Cons

Changing attitudes from a mom and pop approach to a more structured & planned business model. Something to be said about having order.

    Advice to Management

Nothing wrong with enforcing rules. Stability comes from your positive actions.

    Pros

    During busy time it's great

    Cons

Too much micromanagement. Some managers don't help much with what's going on.

    Advice to Management

Ease off the workers, don't assume things, and work with us.

I have been working at Classic Party Rentals full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

National leader in the Event Rental Industry. With several locations, employees are able to re-locate after working for the company for a specified amount of time

    Cons

Classic is still in the process of standardizing policies, which contributes to mixed reviews based on the different locations. There is a lack of teamwork and continuity.

    Advice to Management

Learn more about your team and who contributes what. Discipline when necessary and reward your top employees, or else you will lose them.

    Pros

there is always work too much work to be exact, 10-14 hour shifts, get to travel around the city and the country

    Cons

favoritism,6-7 day work week with 10-14 hours (no chill time), 10 dollars an hour job NOT WORTH THE WORKING CONDITIONS, if your new there the employees are going to take advantage and juice you like a orange. Everyone wants to use the power tools to avoid lifting up heavy ply wood and wood in general,LAZY PEOPLE, everyone there is always talking bad about each other, mostly older mexicans/central americans that cant speak english to save their own lives,if you want to be a mule go ahead apply you'll soon realize your going to be doing slave work for 10 measly dollars while the employees that have been there longer just watch you working your butt off. NO TRAINING they just throw you into the pit and expect you to learn while your pack muling (hard labor)... the only people willing to do this kind of job are mexicans and central americans because they really have no other choice if your born in the states do yourself a favor and look for another job review save you the time of going thru what i did.

    Advice to Management

lower your managements pay to raise your actual frontline workers pay, train your new employees, ROTATE PEOPLES ROLES DAILY TO PREVENT STRESS ON EMPLOYEES, dont start off your new employees with 6-7 day work weeks thats just not smart and will most likely lead to their decision in quiting.

I worked at Classic Party Rentals full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

These suckers do pay well, while it lasts. Get in, get what experience you can, make some fast money and jump to another rental company, before they go bankrupt again

    Cons

In the beginning after all of the "acquisitions" of all of the smaller companies there was a wealth of knowledge and experience, all of the good employees have jumped off this sinking ship or have been forced out for trying to be more professional. most have gone back to the smaller more profitable companies to make them more successful than this "Wal Mart". Most of the upper management that have been hired since all the seasoned employees left, do not have a clue of how the event industry works, they are just pencil pushers.

    Advice to Management

Stop pushing your top experience out and replacing them with ex-Aramark rejects. This business is nothing like renting uniforms.
