    Pros

company is supportive of local Chamber of Commerce and community events, and handles employee communications in a very positive manner

    Cons

tough to start up a business lending portfolio in a new market with limited advertisement dollars; marginal interest rates, and very slow credit turnaround time

    Neutral Outlook

I worked at Clearview Federal Credit Union full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    Hours are great and manageable.
Ability to quickly gain experience / hands-on environment.

    Cons

Politics, unethical decisions. (bad decisions that could potentially lead to identity theft of members)
The policies that are created to govern this organization are a joke. Even when the policies do make sense, they're not enforced at all.
Salary is the opposite of competitive.
Multiple employees do nothing all day and get away with it, while the employees who value their work end up over-worked.
As an employee, you will end up babysitting more than doing actual work. It appears that some of the older employees act as if they're in their late teenage years.
MOST IMPORTANTLY: You will not be hired for your expertise. Your expertise will be ignored during the decision-making process, and this leads to very uneducated decisions.
Expectations are completely ridiculous, and to the highest degree. For example, if you're asked to make pigs fly, it better happen, and it better happen within 20 seconds.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay you're people what they're worth. You have a lot of young talent being wasted by employees who should have retired 25+ years ago. These young employees have great ideas that are not even seen by upper-management. Advancement in the IT department is non-existent, please make promotions a normality.

    Pros

The people who work there are great and friendly; employee events every quarter.

    Cons

Favoritism and nepotism are rampant; the benefits and salaries are horrible compared to similar companies; management has very little knowledge on current industry trends and technology.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Quit playing favorites; pay your employees better!

I worked at Clearview Federal Credit Union full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

This is a great company to work for! The atmosphere at Clearview is more of a family atmosphere than the typical work atmosphere. I felt everyone was willing to help you now matter what they were doing, and they definitely treated their members as if they were number 1. The pay is not to bad and I also liked the benefits.

    Cons

I would say a con was the amount of rollover in the part-time workers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

keep up the good work, and no micromanaging!
