I worked at ClickSoftware (More than a year)

    Pros

Hard-working professionals who care about the company and colleagues. Good salary and benefits.

    Cons

There have been lots of changes recently which have impacted the direction of the company.

    Advice to Management

Define a meaningful, strategic path for the future.

I worked at ClickSoftware full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Smart people with whom I enjoyed working. Generally very direct and wanted employees to also be direct in communication.

    Cons

Management was secretive and managed top down. Financial systems were antiquated and difficult to use.

    Advice to Management

Update the financial systems and bring the product people further into the decision making process. Hierarchical decision structures often times do not work well in Silicon Valley.

  3. Very Flexible management

I have been working at ClickSoftware full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Management is very flexible with work hours, working from home, and work life balance. Most do not micro manage, and as long as you prove valuable, grant many freedoms to make your own decisions. They also back you up in front of customers no matter what which is great. The product has a vast API which empowers you to get essentially any feature to work through customization (for better or worse).

    Cons

Working with offshore groups in Israel is next to impossible. R&D is weak and reluctant to fix issues that countless customers complain about. They also have a defensive attitude problem which gets in the way of collaboration. Sales is like a roller coaster and sometimes we lack trust in upper management's vision for the company (because it seems to often flip flop)

    Pros

Excellent product. Product management area very active and filled with very smart professionals.

    Cons

Unexperienced management. Promotions based on friendship and Israelis are the main beneficiaries. Confused strategy. Not client friendly and extremely bureaucratic.

    Advice to Management

Learn with others experience. Stop being arrogant. Give room for employees ' creativity.

    Pros

The staff people are really nice to work with

    Cons

The company has changed dramatically over the past couple of years and not for the better. No longer a fun, creative place to work. Unstable future for employees. Have seen the best employees leaving. Adding layer on layer of management while they lay off hands on staff, unless you are working on a visa .

    Advice to Management

You really no longer represent the heart and soul that made this a great place to work. You have sold out your employees.

    Pros

Have exposure of all levels of management, not taboo to start a conversation with any person I have met in the office.

    Cons

No Houston office yet, with more OFS projects that will change soon.

    Advice to Management

Business will swing in OFS, it's a matter of having the right people available at the right time.
