    Good company, good management

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

Prosgood company, good management. The company has consolidated its operations in Ohio. Seasoned senior team that works together well. Fair pay.

ConsI do not really have twenty words of "cons" to say. This is a solid company. Pay fair, benefits OK.

Advice to Senior ManagementContinue to look for opportunities to grow & to innovate. Very solid at doing what they do: now, can you do something else? Where are the growth opportunities?

    nice while it lasted.

Senior Programmer (Former Employee) Cincinnati, OH

Prosgood base pay. bonus (if a manager) excellent. contractors were NOT treated as second class citizens (as is common elsewhere).

Conspersonal agendas & politics frequently trumped rational decision making. average IT contractor was expected to work 60 hrs/wk -- more when things went FUBAR. favoritism & cronyism rampant at all levels, in every department.

Advice to Senior Managementstop attempting to manage the stock price! manage for max profits & the stock WILL rise.

    Beware parent company

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsWell-established business partnerships, innovative product ideas and research, great growth potential, solid business model.

ConsMicro-managed by corporate execs in NY who rule by intimidation, second guess every decision, and make it nearly impossible to move ahead on anything.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

In love with themselves and money

    Warehouse Coordinator (Former Employee)

    ProsNice working atmosphere and co-workers

ConsThe management and corporation of Clopay care little about you and the hard work performed by all in the office. You need to work twice as hard with no little to no raises.

Advice to Senior ManagementGet some people skills.

    Be prepared for stressful times.

Consumer Services (Former Employee) Troy, OH

ProsTypical employees are well chosen, hard working and a pleasure to work with the office setting. Benefits are very good. Also it is nice that the company does recognize the holidays.

ConsManagement is completely out of touch with the common employee. You can expect to have your seats rearranged every time the numbers are not going well. I'm not sure what the point of that is but it adds stress to an already stressful situation. You can also expect to be short staffed. During my time with Clopay departments were dissolved and jobs that used to be performed by many were consolidated to one. Also if you know what new hires are being paid it can be disheartening when they tell you that raises have been frozen.

Advice to Senior ManagementYou have good people working for you. Listen to them. Although most are afraid to tell the truth because in the past their advice has been ignored.

    depends what your looking for

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Santa Fe Springs, Los Angeles, CA

Proshighly reputable company. fast paced modern it department. great place to start. tuition reimbursement also a plus. offer autonomy to employees

Consupper management far too concerned with "instant coffee" results. Tend too shift gears too quick, not giving quality ideas time to prove themselves.

Advice to Senior Managementif you believe in a team or idea, give it time to succeed. show patience in letting planted seeds grow.
