    Pros

They have many long-term employees whom are very dedicated to their jobs and the "Café" brand, but feel let down by hasty managerial changes and hires.

    Cons

Being constantly micro-managed and treated as though your previous managerial experience means very little. As in the previous review the "business office" (which they constantly use to refer to themselves in the third person) is extremely negative and reactionary. Rarely are positive ideas acted upon, they are simply perceived as a threat to the "business office". The amount of charts and equations needed to be a manager is excessive, and constantly used to beat down the employees and managers. Of course there is a large amount of paperwork needed in a restaurant in general, but new paperwork is often created as a knee-jerk reaction to what is often a very simple problem to solve. Also as in the previous review the company is run like a much larger company which leads to the back office often coming across as trying to "justify their jobs" with their poorly chosen edicts and additional paperwork. Listen to your managers. Strive to become a culinary leader in the area instead of following trends; i.e. Founding Farmers has Deviled Eggs = Café Deluxe has Deviled Eggs, Ruby Tuesday has Flatbreads = Café Deluxe has Flatbreads. Time to lead with innovation rather than fear and insecurity, or justification of job titles. Regain the status the Cafe held in the community for a long time and don't buy into the homogenization of your product. And stop running a restaurant (which is still a people first industry) like an accounting firm.

    Pros

Great clientele, good quality food, good core group of team members

    Cons

Excessive negativity from corporate office(this is a small company, they have an office staff that would suggest a much larger company). Entirely too much time spent on administrative work, conference calls, and meetings.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Repair your existing restaurants, they are for the most part in a state of disrepair. Eliminate the overhead in the office and hire people who are positive and know how to motivate the operators.
