Pros – They value their employees and support them. The are also very committed to giving back to their community.

Cons – Some managers are not good at leading their staff to succeed. Also, being a smaller company opportunities for growth are limited.

Advice to Senior Management – Keep up the good work but evaluate the mangers more closely

Pros – The company as a whole is very employee focused. They care about their employees and their community.

Cons – Some managers do not follow the corporate approach to being employee focused. Several managers appear to be in it for themselves and to build their own "empires" without consideration of existing employees. My interactions with IT were especially that way. Seems the head of IT was very self focused and thus his staff's hands were tied by his rules when it came to meeting our needs.

Advice to Senior Management – CEO is awesome but needs to look closely at some of the senior management team.

Pros – They generally expect reasonable working hours of close to 40 hrs/wk
It is a company that offers a friendly place to work.

Cons – It is pretty toxic when things turn against you. Management points their fingers and within a day or 2 you are gone. Seen it happen to 5 people in a 2 yr period who were good people/employees.
You need to be very careful.

Advice to Senior Management – Management needs to own theirown mistakes.

Pros – CoBiz is a great place to work in most regards considering that it is still a corporate job. They treat employees fairly and offer many perks.

Cons – It can be difficult to feel appreciated in an environment where there are so many employees and much of the work is repetitive in nature.

Advice to Senior Management – keep up the good work. Overall satisfaction at CoBiz is high considering the other banking positions I have held. Thanks.

Pros – Small company, you have a lot of room to learn many new skills.

Cons – It is tough to get promoted, and there is not a room for career movement.

Advice to Senior Management – Give people more job transfer opportunities, or job exchange. Give someone the opportunity to work in IT for the week, or learn to be a loan officer.
