I have been working at Coach full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The benefits are good, nice discounts, great management, and the team is like a big family. Coach is becoming a lifestyle brand, and can't wait to see where it goes.

    Cons

Coach should update their POS systems.

    Pros

Pay is good but workload vs payroll is ridiculous.

    Cons

The word payroll. They give you 100 things to do but then cut hours.

    Advice to Management

Realize you are selling handbags not changing the world.

I have been working at Coach part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

entry pay level is ok, discount isn't awful. working with the other associates was fine. product is great to look at

    Cons

major management issues, extremely difficult to move up in pay grade and rank, getting a raise is almost impossible. Expectations were set extremely high and impossible to reach. will work you to the bone, and not give benefits.

    Advice to Management

    listen to your associates.

    Pros

Friendly people Decent pay for retail

    Cons

How strict the dress code is makes it hard on a 10/ hr income . If they want that they should provide an allowance or be more flexible

I worked at Coach (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Job security is high as unless you do something terrible like steal, you basically cannot get fired.

    Cons

Worked for Coach for close to 6 years, and company has deteriorated. The company has no vision (especially with new CEO and new creative director), unsure who their target market is/want to accept who their target market is and therefore design/sales have been slumping affecting bonus' both for year end and monthly team pay which was a huge perk for working retail. Typical retail hours/vacation so nothing above and beyond. Pay is low for regular SA's and managers given other retail environments in the area.

I worked at Coach (Less than a year)

    Pros

Super friendly environment and staff. A casual professional atmosphere to work in, the tasks were not hard, definitely engaging and informative. Ton's of information to learn and they are willing to teach.

    Cons

The walk from the train station on 8th may not the most scenic or weather friendly especially in the winter.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work, I love that the managers make you feel welcomed and appreciated.

I worked at Coach full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great brand, great discounts, employees take a lot of pride in the brand and doing what it takes to make it great. Standard benefits, nice NYC location. Lots of opportunities in different areas.

    Cons

Typical business model oriented toward showing good quarterly results, long term focus lacking; top-heavy organization; typical design-driven fashion company practices which result in lots of changes and rework resulting in long hours.
