I worked at Coach part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The company reward system was enjoyable, it provided motivation for all employees to make goals. Employee discount was defiantly a great aspect.

    Cons

When most of the management team is new and haven't been properly trained.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make sure you have an outstanding team, if they do not understand roles they are as good as useless. Instill team selling within your team so you can continue to have a positive store environment.

I worked at Coach as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

The work environment is very casual and they give a lot of freedom to their interns. Interns interact with people of all different departments, so it provided an in depth understanding of the fashion industry.

    Cons

The office was difficult to get to and the area was not very nice.

I worked at Coach part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Overall, it is a great company. They give bonuses to all employees (based on hours worked) if monthly profit goals are met, flexible scheduling, great discount, diverse staff. There is a fair turnover rate for employees, especially part-time, but staff and managers are wonderful. They welcome and accept new people and you quickly become part of the "family".

    Cons

Retail hours aren't the best no matter what company you work for. Late nights doing floor sets and closing down store. Next weeks schedule is not out until Monday but you must request off a month ahead of time. Dress code is strict and you are not reimbursed for the clothes you are required to purchase.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Some managers micromanage employees that know what they are doing and pay no attention to other employees who are unsure or not doing their jobs correctly. Also, some managers have different views on certain aspects of the business which can be confusing to employees.

I worked at Coach full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Lots of good people to work with, friendly professional environment. Constantly learning and career development is encouraged.

    Cons

Roles and responsibilities are constantly changing so the job you hire into might change into something different. Regular restructuring of teams.
High demands on employees in some departments and others much less, inconsistent.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Interact with those who will do the work when making changes rather than just other upper management. Make decisions that have longevity.

I have been working at Coach as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

Coporate like. Very organized and employees are nice. So many things to learn! and my manager was very nice and gave me legitimate research work to do throughout the summer.

    Cons

Living in NYC is expensive. With the minimum intern wage, I can barely afford living in the city. Also, HR/talent department are so busy they never replied back to any of my emails. I had to force myself to call them every day until they pick up.

I have been working at Coach part-time

    Pros

The people I work with are very friendly and its easy work.

    Cons

Too many people don't do work because they've worked there for so long they think they don't have to work. Then the management needs work on they can't communicate for the life of them and are under staffed. You also have to learn alot of stuff on your own and even though I like the people I work with there's alot of gossip

I have been working at Coach full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good work environment. Stress level is not to high.

    Cons

Changing environment. New focus on hiring "attractive" SM's GM's vs. qualified candidates. Micro management for Regional down due to down trend in overall business.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

refocus on people. Understand it is a product issue for sales loss and traffic loss. Go back to who the "COACH Girl" was and stop trying to chase the MK Girl
