    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Manage people to the long-term goals, not the jobs to the short term goals.

I have been working at Coca-Cola Company full-time

    Pros

Nice friendly atmosphere. You get to experience all different types of people daily. Work at your own pace if you want the overtime pay. This company throws money out the window, so make sure to get your share. You can get away with murder here. Say whatever you want, its "shop talk".

    Cons

Very Poorly managed, yet it seems people stay. New hires are promised jobs they don't get and are not trained appropriately.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Not sure if it is worth the effort. They come and go. Nobody listens. I'm certain the direct distribution management don't really make all the key decisions.

I have been working at Coca-Cola Company full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Represent the best brand in the world! No two days are the same, and the challenges never seem to get old if you have thick skin and ready to work every day to meet the very high expectations both internally and externally.

    Cons

Work life balance is non existent. Very hard to turn it off if you want to stay ahead of any problems or concerns of the customer. Compensation is very low compared to like jobs in the market. There is a major problem with last minute communication and often create our own issues.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get back to the basics. Appreciate your people, and show it every day like you would your children or friends. There should be no such terms as "thankless job" or "no news is good news". Take the time to provide feedback consistently, not once a year during annual reviews. Leadership is not based on your title, and yet our culture seems as though it is. If you want to adopt an open door policy, live by it. It should never fall on some individuals and not on others. Overall, your people are just as important, if not more important than your customers. That concept should be evident, every day not just when the numbers are coming in.

Former Employee - Account Manager Small Store in Milwaukee, WI

    I worked at Coca-Cola Company

    Pros

There are a lot of good people that work there, but there all in hiding because if they show what they can do, they will get crucified for not doing it ever single month and there "goals" will become so unrealistic that nobody would ever achieve them.

    Cons

Completely unrealistic views on just about everything. We were told once we needed to complete 150 surveys that took an hour a piece by Friday. Thats not even physically possible, drive time and store hours alone wouldn't allow for that. Not to mention our 60+ hours of work we needed to complete just to keep up. And don't you dare contradict anything that gets said in a meeting, your career will be over. The worst part is they have so many supervisors that just want to look good that they blow smoke up the boss above them. So upper management is dumb founded as to why there are so many issues because they don't even know whats going on.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't listen to what your employee beneath you says, go to the boots on the ground and actually listen and do something about what they say. When you have a group of people that only do the bare minimum, you need to ask yourself why. Because if they were all just bad employee's you would replace them
