    I worked at Coca-Cola Enterprises, Inc. full-time

    Pros

Coca-Cola afforded me many opportunities to act in an entrepreneurial capacity. I was allowed to be creative and implement ideas and initiatives of my own design.

    Cons

There was a bit of a military-style, male dominated corporate culture. It was certainly a challenging environment for women, in my opinion.

    Advice to Management

Management should review and update policies related to corporate culture and sensitivity.

    Pros

Great environment Excellent room for advancement

    Cons

Not really a con. You can easily loose you way as is to be expected in a large company so it's imperative that you take the reins and assume the responsibility for your own career advancement by checking in with your manager on a regular basis

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work

I worked at Coca-Cola Enterprises, Inc. full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Coke is a great company to work for. They like to hire from within the company. You don't have to have a degree to get a job that requires one with most companies. If you prove to be a hard and reliable worker, you will be promoted.

    Cons

One of the cons about the company is that they will throw you into a new position and give you a minimal amount of training and terminate you if you catch on quickly. It's an either sink or swim situation, most of the time. I was caught in a situation where my manager wanted me to do things his way, but corporate wanted me to do things their way. It was a bad situation to be in. There was no way around someone being upset with the way you were doing things.

    Advice to Management

Management at the sales center level and corporate management needs to be on the same page.

    Pros

I started this job out of High School and promoted to Account Manager in 6 months. I loved it at first! For over 6 years I gained a lot of experience and knowledge in sales and customer service. Coca Cola is the most recognized brand in the world and it was so awesome to be able to say I work there.

    Cons

The down side is integrity, teamwork, knowledge and other qualities of a good employee don't matter. It is all about who you know and what clique your in if you want to advance your career. Because of this, you see a lot of turnover in middle management which creates barriers with the front line employees. Communication was not so great either, as the company transitioned to Coca Cola Refreshments the vision they played at our townhall meeting was one thing but middle management actually training and directing that vision was no good.
