    Pros

Workload was cut and dry, was able to work 8 or so hours everyday. Minimal supervision, relatibely laid back work environment.

    Cons

Very low pay. No chance for advancement. Blanket "average" reviews/raises not actually based on performance. I went a year without missing a delivery with happy customers/salesman and got the same 3.0 review everyone else got. Also was passed for multiple promotions despite a military background that included sales experience with budweiser. Also the worst pay of 4 dsd companies I've worked for.

    Advice to Management

    Promote from within.

    Pros

Good work environment with a great group of people who were always helpful, accountable, customer focused and team driven with an interest in sustainability and contribution to the local community.

    Cons

There were gaps in the communication between various functional groups at the Corporate level that would sometimes hamper the ability of regional offices to respond to local market conditions.

    Advice to Management

When making changes, establish a baseline for success and give new processes a chance to be measured against the baseline before replacing them with yet another process.

    Pros

At the functional level there is a genuine interest in helping each other out. Front line employees can rely on each other. There ARE talented people in the organization at all levels.

    Cons

In my section there was managerial incompetence from top down. the division rules by fear, which gets worse down the hierarchy. Too many managers are put into place without any skills training. So incompetence is covered up through yelling, threats, and political maneuvering. The company is unable/unwilling to remove the incompetent managers. As a result, the company is stuck in a 1940's production model, and is unable to change. Because of this, and when compared to other companies, coke is in for a rough ten years.

    Advice to Management

Executives must face the hard truth - from the VP suite downward, incompetence reigns. there's a reason certain regions are doing poorly. Do 360 reviews and remove unpopular managers. Then change the corporate culture from fear to collaboration.
