Pros
Opportunity for growth if you are recognized by the right people in the company. You see the company name in lights everywhere you go.
Cons
Incompetent and inconsiderate. Sense of un-loyalty when it is strongly required without reprimand. Chinese overtime. Glass ceiling is very low.
Advice to Senior Management
The lack of communication from Senior management to plant supervisors to leads makes it very hard to strive to do better. In our positions (not in an office or behind closed doors) We are the face of this company and to belittle or be incompetent or inconsiderate is a reflection on the company as a whole. To have rewards is a good thing but a simple thank you or we appreciate your hard work can go a long way. To isolate individuals because of personal feelings makes it hard on the whole team. We as employees seek to our Leadership to guide and challenge us to do better to make "Coke" the go to distributor but when you have management that take there authority to make someone else feel bad or guilty it makes you question how or why is this who Coke want representing them or making decisions for them. As a manager you should train your team or to do your job where it is applicable so they can move up and so that you can move up the Glass Ceiling is mighty low in the Dallas Plant office and it's sad because I personally love my job but I am constantly faced with being at a stand still because of my direct report and I do not know who I can trust because I do feel my Direct Supervisor has a target on my back. I want to work hard, make my Family proud, provide for them and be a positive face for the "Our Company" of our clients.
Pros
Get the opportunity to work with customers.
Cons
Too much to handle for one person. What you dont finish gets rolled over, and eventually you get to overwhelmed to do what you need to do.
Pros
- the name of the company looks great on my resume as an internship, since I am still in college
- you will deal with lots of adversity and problems that have been great examples in interviews
- benefits are pretty good
- pay not based on commission
Cons
- hours for ALL sales roles whether you are a manager or AM are 5am-5pm no exceptions
- pay is horrible when you consider the 12 hour work days you have 5 days a week
- upper management treats everyone like they are in kindergarten and shows no respect
- most managers don't even have college degrees
- no women work there. throughout my whole internship I think I met two women in the entire Phoenix division sales
- management tells you one thing but really means another
Advice to Senior Management
To Upper Level Management: hire lower level management that actually have college degrees. it makes a difference.
Lower Level Management: pay attention to your employees, treat them right. Corporate says that an account manager should work 6am-3pm so why are you working people 5am-5pm for no reason?
Pros
-flexible hours (work until you're finished with your accounts)
-trimester bonuses (although the amounts seem to be dwindling every year)
-decent benefits and investment packages
-ability to work on your own with very little office time per week
-co-workers are generally very nice and easy to get along with
-3 weeks paid vacations and 3 paid floating holidays
-off on all major holidays (although you have to work ahead to get the days off)
Cons
-some immediate managers can be very hard to work with, but not all of them
-company vehicles are being taken away with an unacceptably low compensation package to make up for it
-pay is a little low, but not much different to comparable positions with other companies
-upper management constantly comes up with the most ridiculous procedures and new policies, as if they come up with them just to annoy everybody, because that's all it does
-communication between departments can sometimes be poor, but not always
Advice to Senior Management
Stop trying to come up with micromanaged ways of doing what we already do. There is no need to give webcasts and directives that define common sense sales tools when they are already being used on a regular basis. If we need that, then we might as well be taught in 10 steps how to get in our cars and start the ignition.
Pros
Good benefits for employees to enjoy
Cons
long hours, lack of information on benefits available not easy to progress if you are a builder
Advice to Senior Management
care about employees even if they are at the bottom
Pros
Opportunities are there if you are a resourceful team member. One of the world's strongest brands! Your experience is what you make of it . . .
Cons
You MUST be open to change and willing to overlook some shortcomings and have faith in the vision and senior leadership to keep the ship on track.
Advice to Senior Management
Always remember where you came from and the people that got you to where you are. We all want the company to grow and become stronger and you are held up by your foundation, just remember whose shoulders and backs hold you up!
Pros
The company is very good to work for. The middle managers have a good ideas and plans. The sales team has a great culture. All the employee;s are very nice
Cons
The company has no respect for AM's and don't support the people the are on the ground everyday selling the product. The company only care about what the shareholder's expect. The have poor recognition for a good job. They also pay you less than 1/10 of 1% of your total sales as a salary
Advice to Senior Management
Pay your sales team better, recognize them for everything. Think about your people since that is what you preach each and everyday. Think about the consumer instead of the shareholders.
Pros
They have great pay grades and guarantee raises. Benefits are good, the people at coca cola are super casual and friendly.
Cons
Segregation of union and non union workers in the company is problematic at times. Management positions are held by people with very low education.
Advice to Senior Management
Pursue higher degrees
Pros
1. If you like to set your own hours, Sales Manager is great.
2. If you like to get bonuses based on your performance, Sales Manager is great.
3. If you enjoy working in a well-establish company (not likely to go bankrupt-ever), Coca-Cola is great.
Cons
1. It is easy to feel lost in the number of people working.
2. It is hard to make a difference in the way things are done.
3. There are a lot of processes, but not much communication of them.
Advice to Senior Management
Try to take the company back to its roots when there was a personality for the company, not just a public relations department and shareholders to appease. Make things simpler, not more complicated, and your employees (and customers) will appreciate you.
Pros
Good Compensation
Good Benefits
The Right Vision
Cons
The changing culture provides many challenges to employees throughout the organization.
