I have been working at Cognilytics full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great Opportunity to work with senior leaders.
A lot to learn and contribute.
    Top grade salary and benefits.
Very dynamic and everyone has a chance to rise up and add value.

    Cons

A bit of a commute for those who live away from South San Jose, but you will be against traffic :)

I have been working at Cognilytics as a contractor for less than a year

    Pros

    Good marketing skills(with fake ads)

    Cons

I applied for the Job position which stated 6 months. After all the interview rounds, luckily I asked about the project details and got to know that it was a POC for 3 weeks and then might become a project if this is approved. After 3 weeks I was supposed to be on bench(at my own expenses). Wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't falsify the information on Job requirements.

I have been working at Cognilytics full-time for more than a year

    Pros

You can say you have a job

    Cons

It is like a bad sweat shop in China and I've worked in China and in Russia, those environments were much better. I have no idea why I landed at this company because they violate all labor laws and treat their employee VERY poorly. An Indian owned Company operating in the US and not abiding by US labor laws? It will not be too long until a lawsuit ends their charade.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Use some of the fast dollars you are earning to purchase a moral compass, it might help you arrive at your wealth destination but I doubt it - seriously

    I worked at Cognilytics

    Pros

There are plenty of opportunities for strong people to rise quickly and get significant amount of responsibility and career development

    Cons

Quality of staff varies widely...strong in programming and data analytics, but not so well in the business analysis and client development areas

    Not a professional company

I have been working at Cognilytics

    Pros

Hard to think of one...but due to slick marketing and schmoozing only they have managed to get some clients

    Cons

    No professional management.
    Ad- hoc'ism all around...all along...
The thinking here is not make a 'company'...thinking is to fudge the numbers, sell the company asap and run away asap.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The only focus of this 'lala' company is sell this company ASAP and make money.
    Stop short term thinking...

I worked at Cognilytics full-time for more than a year

    Pros

They employ very good people and treat them fairly and pay them a good wage, with solid benefits. They also provided company paid software certification.

    Cons

Their products are concentrated too much on SAP. I feel that they need to diversify the product line more.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Develop more products based on SAS and other statistical languages.

I have been working at Cognilytics full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great client exposure to a few large organizations in the BFSI industries.

    Cons

Lack of consistent executive management strategy, staffing talent, and very demanding (rigid) travel requirements were the primary reasons I left the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

A good ole boys club may work, but when those folks aren't taken care of and left out to dry, you will end up sourcing all your talent from India. The personal networks management has impacted, will damage the companies ability to attract (and *retain*) key consulting talent.
