1) learning opportunities are great due to their vast area of expertise
2) systems and processes are well defined
3) the compensation is transparent and very generous

Large organization, so processes can be annoying. Benefits etc may not be as great as with some other companies but improving

-since it is service oriented co. you get a chance to work on various technologies where you can not focus on one and be master of it..
-more weight on the development and deliveries rather processes which makes sometimes un-necessary pressure on the team..so still this co. needs some amount of time to get completely process oriented.

Having the fact that Cognizant is one of the fastest growing IT co. my advise is co. should start focus more into the processes also. Due to lack of processes, teams un-necessarily work under pressures and without overall transparency.

No Job Rotation; very difficult to change projects
Onsite Opportunity very few. Those working onsite stay permanently.

Talent management should be efficient in allocating right resource to the right projects. Recent changes in the reporting structure creates lot of confusion.
Often, poor project management leads to increased work load, overtime, and monotonous jobs. Strongly advice the management to bring up the quality of the projects at par with its tier 1 competitors.

Being a service company individual growth is less. Promotions and appraisals are not based on actual parameters it depends on managers relationship with employee.

Make promotions and appraisals strictly on performance. And the factors determining performance should be convincing. Reduce the number of management people and add more technical people with mangement skills.
