Pros
The benefits are OK but out dated still using 97 numbers. There is an RRSP match up to 2% better than nothing. The office environment is like a roller coaster when it up its great but as of late is level.
Cons
There is a lack of leadership, and it is not only at the entry level, I think it goes almost to the top making it difficult to communicate add the spice that only unbridled gossip and provide with a splash of office politics and some days you just don't know what to do but when you do know what to do you may not know how as its vary much a learn as you environment
Advice to Senior Management
Make sure your employees know what your up to , if you have a vision share it, make sure people know what to do and how to do it.
Pros
Cannot think of a good reason apart from the benefits package which is ok but could be better. I mean....the dental plan should be looked at! They are paying the dentist on the schedule from 2 years behing the present day. So...in 2009 they paid according to the dental schedule from 2007! Hmmmm. Really interesting!
Cons
Middle management is powerless and they act like "soldiers". They follow orders and that's it. This is the reason why this middle management is treating the employees on the lower pay scale as if they are slaves. "You do as I say or else.... " They love to create drama and they feed on it. They initiate the gossip and fuel it as well. The entire company is run by gossip and people are judged through the gossip of others. Quite an interesting system for performance evaluations.
Communication is actually non-existent. Employees are not allowed to ask too many questions or to ask for resolutions on never ending issues.
Advice to Senior Management
Stop destroying people! Start creating them!
Pros
Benefits are good in comparison with some other companies
Cons
Very abusive senior management. Small clique of managers and admin staff run the show and does not allow fair opportunities for new employees. Huge turnover of very qualified individuals who are hired for their talents and then never allowed to apply.
Advice to Senior Management
Need to reveiw human resource guidelines
