Pros
the best reason is job security and good senior management.
Cons
not much room for growth professionally
Pros
The relaxed atmosphere, central location in town, free pop
Cons
easy to be fired due to poor communication, time off requests must be made two weeks in advance, working on all holidays, including Christmas
Advice to Senior Management
Increase pay, min wage is almost $10. Expand site, allow for advancement, and for gosh sakes set clear expecations!
Pros
Free Parking, Free Snacks, Nice People
Cons
Clear direction is needed as the economy is still in the drink.
Pros
It is great to be your own driving force and motivation in your day-to-day work. They encourage you to run your "area" like it is your own.
Cons
Communication in this company is pretty poor. Also, in the maintenance area, there are little, to no opportunities for career advancement.
Advice to Senior Management
What I noticed while working for them was that the Senior Management was great and enthusiastic but that they were oblivious to the day-to-day operations in the field. Not totally their fault, but they should hold the management that they hire accountable for the trouble on the ground floor. The lower employees feel very expendable and under valued.
Pros
Interesting project, good benefits, fairly flexible schedule.
Cons
Old guard employees back stab and unwilling to share info. Suppostedly training benefits exists but rarely are you allowed to access them. No willingness to allow growth. Some of the worse management I have ever seen. Employees afraid to speak out and too much polictics. Very disfunctional environment. Just say the emperors clothes are stunning and you might become a 'pet'. Oh can't forget, chaos, chaos, chaos, and did I say clueless management??
Advice to Senior Management
Find a new line of work....or pay attention to what really goes on in your group. You might what to actually take the advice that you seem to want but never act on.
Pros
Great flexibility when working in the field. If you keep your numbers looking good management leaves you alone for the most part
Cons
No room for advancement. Work keeps getting piled on and no overtime permitted. All the good things about coinstar from the past have been taken away such as Christmas and summer get togethers.
Advice to Senior Management
Listen to the field. The concerns are legit. Stop piling on more and more responsibilities without giving people the opportunity to succeed
Pros
Enterpreterial Enviroment
Lots of different projects running at the same time
Company Growing
Cons
Not quite clear Job roles / responsabilities
Kaos Feeling
Different people involve in different meeting to address the same issue
Advice to Senior Management
Re enforce strategic planning / prioritize business initiatives
Pros
- Decent hours 4 day work week rotation
- late hour differential pay
Cons
- growing company still trying to stay small feel
- not clear path on how a department is to run
Advice to Senior Management
- Less recruiting and buying stuff solidify what you got with less office politics
Pros
Casual environment and some friendly team meetings, although with limits.
Cons
Too many cones of silence within departments and not enough communication throughout.
Advice to Senior Management
Take care of what you have instead of chasing the next moneymaker.
Pros
People treated eachother like family.
Cons
Professionally it leaves alot of room for improvement.
Advice to Senior Management
Communications is key to managing a global company running on thin profit margins.
