Pros
8 dollars a month beginning salary and discounts on ice cream :D You have to sing a song when a customer gives a tip.
Cons
Kind of small space and gets very cold at times.
Advice to Senior Management
Doing a good job with management, I am wholly satisfied.
Pros
Free Ice Cream, friendly co-workers, creativity, young crowd.
Cons
Management had a condescending attitude towards crew members- most likely because they are usually hiring 15 and 16 year olds, scheduling communication lines were very often close- only a few crew members that were "in" with the manager or leader would ever have a set, ideal schedule for their lives, no room for negotiations. In this specific area, the hard-to-please customers.
Advice to Senior Management
Ask your employees what they'd like to be doing and what they think they're best at... Include the people you hire in the overall running of the store. They are the ones interacting on a daily base with the customers- not you. Keep that in mind.
Pros
Fun interview process- In the group interview i attended we had to make up words and create a Coldstone song
Fun work environment- When people tip you are required to sing. Leads to some interesting stories.
good workout- You need to first scoop the ice cream and then mix it in with all of these random ingredients with these two metal spoon things x 1000.
free ice cream- Coldstone happen to has some really delicious icecream and you can try whatever kind you want and in the store I worked for take 1 per shift.
Cons
Have to work more than at other ice cream places
Advice to Senior Management
Make sure you have intelligent franchise owners
