    Pros

Friendly co-workers, flexible hours, reasonable management, free ice cream with each shift, convenient locations, able to create cakes as desired

    Cons

lifting heavy ice cream tubs, scooping hard ice cream may be hard on weak wrists, working with teenagers may be challenging

    Advice to Management

Keep stock freezers clean and organized, review policies with every worker about items in freezer and refrigerator needing to be covered and kept fresh

    Pros

Didn't care if you ate a ton of ice cream. It was also a fun way to socialize with people because customers are typically in a good mood if they are buying icecream

    Cons

The management was terrible and lazy. They just made everyone else clean the entire time while they sat in the back and talked. Made for a very poor work environment

    Advice to Management

Use incentives to make employees enjoy their jobs more. Make managers interact more with other employees.

  3. I was terrified of my bosses

I worked at Cold Stone Creamery part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Yummy ice cream (no discount, but we got to take home messed-up orders), tips, easy register to work with, nice co-workers

    Cons

The biggest problem was this: my boss was nice, but I feel like he and his co-owner went out of their way to be really intimidating. They reminded us they were watching us all the time and that they could easily fire us. It was nerve-wracking, to say the least.

    Pros

Fun atmosphere with a very lenient schedule. Ideal for a part time job during school.

    Cons

Gets tiring and monotonous after a few months.

    Advice to Management
