I worked at Cold Stone Creamery part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

The schedule was flexible, the people I worked with were great, the training was good, the tops were good, very friendly, and of course amazing ice cream.

    Cons

Can be a high stress job at times (especially if you're new), a lot of recipes to memorize, and long late hours.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make sure the franchise owner is properly handling scheduling and pay. My manager often paid us in cash or personalized checks, and was bad at scheduling people during the hours we gave her.

Also, our manager did little to no training herself, but left it to the shift managers.

I have been working at Cold Stone Creamery part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

You get free ice cream when you work and half-off ice cream when you're not working! Plus it's not a boring job--when you're busy the time passes quickly. Plus you get tips! They usually add up to an extra $.50-$1 an hour

    Cons

On your feet all hours, lots of different things to get used to, cheap training wage for the first 3 months seems unwarranted to me
