    Pros

A little more progressive than most stodgy engineering firms

    Cons

    Pros

No problem paying overtime. Horrible hours.

    Cons

Poor oversight. Poor direction. Poor management. Poor communication. Poor assistance. Poor followups. Not willing to help at all. Hires not from universities but from ITT Tech???? In all, simply slipshod and typically everything one needs to know in order to do their job is a big secret, always with a key piece of the puzzle missing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Supervisors, you don’t know who they are. One person one week, another person another week. Neither of them talk to you or to each other. They are rude and discourteous to each other at meetings and just stare at the table and say nothing when the project lead is attending.

Your colleagues? Forget it. Some simply will NOT say hello. Some look at you like you’re nuts. Some look at you like you’re bothering them and wish you’d go away and figure things out by yourself. Some listen to you and then claim they don’t know ANYTHING about what you’re talking when they’ve been doing it over three times as long as you have.

When someone passes in work and records that work as completed, don't turn around and ask where their work is weeks later. I had TWELVE assignments waiting to be reviewed the day the project lead came in to yell at us one afternoon about not working fast enough. Weeks later, an email went out and I was at the top of the list for uncompleted / missing assignments. Sent a date-stamped photograph and an email to the project lead showing those TWELVE assignments sitting on the table and as a response and what did I get? No response from either supervisors or the project lead. Yes, it's that bad.

They won't hesitate to come in and yell at you. They play favorites. Also, when numbers are tossed around in meetings (people in "this" office can do SIX assignments per day) your colleagues will later tell you otherwise, that what was said was "six assignments per week," when they were in the same meeting. Engineers are supposed to be smart, but most of them smoke.

    Pros

Willing to pay over-time (time and a half).

    Cons

Hired as contract employee. Which would mean there is no direction given to me for completing work. Also means no supplies or equipment is provided. Neither of these stipulations were met. What they are doing here is illegal, and just a way to get around paying any benefits or pay into un-employment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Respect your employees and they will respect you.
