    Pros

Work environment has been significantly improved since Ian McLeod came on board - more open and friendly atmosphere, supportive teams, good leadership.

    Cons

Insufficient parking allocations, poor catering, new open plan seating arrangements a little too cramped in some departments and very male-dominated environment.

    Advice to Management

Offer more opportunities for lower level staff to participate in decision-making activities in order to get more involved in the business.

    Pros

lots of customer interaction, autonomy to please customers

    Cons

easy to skip lunches as it's always busy, long hours, have to work every second weekend, and work on public holidays.

    Advice to Management

Keep promoting talent from within, as it can be very demotivating to be stuck in the same role year after year after year!

    Pros

The people individually are great, so much talent in one building. Great having an on site gym too

    Cons

You lose part of your like working here, the culture is toxic and is operated like a boys club

    Advice to Management

Take a look at the organisation, diversity and culture should be priorities along with people and their happiness . Every single member of your team should love coming to work and be inspired.

    Pros

Flexible rostering to suit other commitments; an ideal job for a uni student.
Social culture, so long as you make the effort!
Opportunity to further your career in one of Australia's most secure companies.

    Cons

Top-down decision making is made by a Support Office team that is largely removed from the store level, and so their "support" is not entirely effective.
A budgetary focus within the company, particularly since the introduction of the new Managing Director and senior management team, places excessive pressure on wages expense in the stores. The cost of this is ultimately on the store teams, who rely on the wages to pay for their living, and are now expected to do more work in shorter time.

    Advice to Management

There are more innovative methods of obtaining profit growth other than cutting REM (wages). There are grandmothers operating checkouts - would you expect the same output of your own grandmother as you would the team members working in stores?
