    Pros

    Company benefits are excellent.

    Cons

Stressful and some people do not appreciate you.

    Advice to Management

Needs to be more upfront with their team and other employers and learn more of their "leadership" skills the company always mentions in regards to being a manager.

    Pros

Great Brands. Great business reporting system. Good training system

    Cons

Senior Management team is too political. Favorites are fast tracked even though they are not the most qualified. Too much emphasis is put on interviews rather than work and accomplishments to date

    Advice to Management

Innovation in your brands instead of just cost cutting overhead would be wise

    Pros

Global business, Well recognized brands, Good Quality, Customer Focused, open to new technologies.

    Cons

"Heavy walls" separate "product category groups" preventing valuable cross-learning.

    Advice to Management

Avoid expensive technology work duplication among product categories. Make Category learning permeable through organizational walls.

Great benefits and competitive salary but be prepared to swim in the deep end from the start as it's so slimmed down now

    Pros

Benefits, competitive salary, global mobility if that is what you're looking for. Flexible time off and a decent bonus structure if you can make it to EICP.

    Cons

Bureaucracy at its prime. Put your best lips on cause if your not kissing up, you might as well forget that next promotion. This is a marketing company, everything else is currently being outsourced to India in order to fund their growth because they can't seem to get their cost structure right. Severe spending inefficiencies in capex. New restructuring is so uprooting it is leaving loose ends.

    Advice to Management

Show a little appreciation for the people who made this company tick for so long, you are only hurting yourself further because now that wisdom is out the door no matter how many work activity analyses you perform.

    Pros

The flexibility to work from remote locations is still difficult to beat. The health insurance is still pretty good.

    Cons

The pay is no longer top end. It used to be very competitive, but now there are much better paying jobs out there. They are moving much of the business support functions to centralized locations outside of the US, so there is little opportunity for advancing. There are a lot of issues that just get ignored because it just has to work even though there hasn't been much thought put into the initiatives. Management does not listen to the people who know how to do the job because they think they know better. It is bad when you cannot tell whether the Dilbert comic strip is made up or about your (former) company.

    Advice to Management

Spend the money to hire good people. Quit trying to get by with hiring people who don't know very much but are put in a job that used to be a senior role. You get what you pay for, and if you're after cheap labor the quality of work will be just as cheap. It isn't a good thing when over half the employees have been there for less than 10 years. That means half the people don't know what they're doing.

    Pros

Stable company with numerous personal growth opportunities. Employees in salaried positions are often able to move into career paths other than what they were hired for allowing them to learn and grow. Excellent benefits.

    Cons

Focused on cost reduction at the expense of innovation. Good old boys club attitude prevalent in senior supply chain and corporate engineering positions. Like most large corporations decision making slow. Work/ family balance not uniform across the organization. Layoffs and forced retirements have become the norm in recent years.

    Advice to Management

Swing the pendulum back toward an innovation focus and less on cost savings. Value experience and longevity in the company instead of looking at it as a cost burden.

    Pros

Managers/Colleagues are generally very respectful of your time. Decent benefits: half-day summer Fridays (Memorial weekend- Labor day weekend) Transportation assistant program; Hearth coverage starts on your start date; pension; For every dollar you contribute to your 401K the company matches .50 up to 6%; success sharing; annual bonus. 3 week vacation after 5 years of service. Sound financials e.g stable company.

    Cons

company is very cost conscious which means limited resources. Lots of personnel shifts in marketing which impacts cross-functional partners. Poor management communication.

    Pros

A lot of opportunity for those who want to explore executive opportunities overseas. If they like you, it's the kind of place you can spend your entire career.

    Cons

The US company is not a fun place. Most of the opportunities are overseas. Still very much an old boys club.
