    Pros

As a full-time cooperative student intern, I gained invaluable experience and insight on lab-scale and pilot-scale process development by being granted the opportunity to contribute to various ongoing projects involving soaps and underarm products. I also gained exposure in the handling of raw materials and active ingredients within a cGMP-compliant environment and further developed my mindset as a professional engineer in a lab-based and plant-based setting. My mentors and superiors were amicable, resourceful, and proactive in fostering my skills and knowledge in the field of chemical engineering. Thank you for everything, Colgate-Palmolive.

    Cons

If granted the opportunity, I would like to return to Colgate-Palmolive as a full-time employee.

    Pros

Strong health benefits package, and salaries are somewhat competitive. Higher levels are more likely to enjoy the salary benefits.

    Cons

If you are considered "good" or "an expert" at something, it follows you for your entire career - unless you're able to make a significant category change. Many choose the option of leaving the company to make that change. Ongoing training to acquire or maintain skills are limited because of budgetary and time constraints. Middle management tends to have poor people skills which can cause additional stress and frustration. The expectations to work beyond typical in-office hours has increased significantly, leaving little room for rest and work/life balance.

    Advice to Management

Realize that the pressures may outweigh the benefits after a while, and the strain of working longer hours every week will take a significant toll on personnel health-wise and in other ways.

    Pros

I enjoyed most I worked w/especially my line leaders. They gave me opportunity to advance.

    Cons

The long hrs and being called in on days off. Also being underappreciated by the big bosses...(though the line leaders were awesome and made up for it a lot)

    Advice to Management

Pay more attention to your workers and their needs and wants. They gave good ideas yet those in charge didn't want to listen. And people got frustrated and quit. You would've kept more people if you' listen to your employees.
