Former Employee – worked at Collabera as a contractor for more than a year
Pros – Paychecks are consistent and on time
Cons – Lowest contracting wage
No support
They only care about money and the relationship with the client, not about the employee
There is a horrible language barrier, the staff is from India and their English is poor
They are highly unethical, this is a class action lawsuit waiting to happen
Advice to Senior Management – Clean house, acquire new leadership with better principles and values
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

Former Employee – worked at Collabera
Pros – A lot of talent in this company that are open to sharing what they know and want to help you succeed. Pure sales environment.
Cons – Pretty stressful almost 100% of the time, must be very dedicated to sales and have excellent following up skills. Language barrier is always an issue.

Current Employee – been working at Collabera as a contractor for less than a year
Pros – Great gigs - when you can get one. Payroll on time and accurate. Your personal representative in HR makes all the difference in how the relationship develops. Make no mistake, this is a body shop - your talent is worthless to them when you are not on a project.
Cons – Ridiculously difficult until you get "wired" in to the process. Long downtime between assignments. Lack of understanding within company of how to pitch consultants to the client: if you have mad skills in A but are fully qualified in B, C and D with better than average competence in E, you will get responses to A.
Advice to Senior Management – Remember the talent you hire is often senior to you. Show some respect to your talent and negotiate business-to-business.

Current Employee – been working at Collabera full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – It's good for fresh college graduate.
Cons – Very fussy. Insurance premium is like $200 a month. Outrageous...Don't expect any benefit from this company. I and my wife were planning for a baby but insurance for both of us was estimated to be $700 a month so we thought of changing a company soon and than plan for the baby.. Yes, $700...Isn't it crazy?
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Current Employee – been working at Collabera full-time
Pros – They have 2 plans for consultants, join as salaried or hourly.
Salaried - some benefits, 8 paid holiday, 5 personal days and 2 week paid vacation and medical at $200 - low benefits per month
Hourly - No benefits, u pay full price for any benefits.
so if they are getting 55-60 from client they offer 30 - 32 as hourly or 28 (60K) salaried + benefits which works out to the same cost.
Cons – If u r on a visa and join as employee, at every project end, you will get a termination letter by registered post, so u r basically out of status and are being blackmailed to take up the next project at the location and rate they want you to. Moving assistance is 800-1000 but depends on the account head you are moving with. 70% of their recruiters are based in India using VOIP phones, so they have no idea about the working culture in US.

Former Employee – worked at Collabera full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – A very hands off employer. Did not hear much from them.
Cons – Was layed off just before Thanksgiving. No warning. I was called and told that my contract ended and today was the last day.
Advice to Senior Management – Be a little me proactive and give some advance notice or contract temination

Former Employee – worked at Collabera as a contractor for less than a year
Pros – The good thing was they do your taxes. They did direct deposit on time;
Manager was Nice;
Cons – a lot of things to file.
The length of the contract usually goes like 3 months, 6 months, 9 months or 1 year maximum.
There is a 100 days rule, which means once you finish a project, you have to take a 100 days break.

Current Employee – been working at Collabera full-time for more than a year
Pros – Quite an open and innovative comp which welcomes the new thoughts and efforts to generate productivity and best talent in the industry.
Cons – Its really hard to get successful with some efforts for somebody who is starting his or her career with the company but if you started with a good account and efforts, you would be successful like I became.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
