    Pros

Gained invaluable lessons from this internship. Marketing, cold calling, sales, pr, hr, training, hiring and firing, to name a few. Thorough interview process and training.

    Cons

Not totally upfront about overhead charges and amount of time needed for job duties. This is a full- time job, and then some.

    Advice to Management

More detailed real life experiences to share with possible recruits

I have been working at College Pro (Less than a year)

    Pros

It might make your resume look good.

    Cons

-You start your career with them in debt. about $6000. -You don't walk away with as much money as they promise. I would have made double the amount if I had just kept my minimum wage job. -It is about 40 hours a week in the spring and 60 in the summer to break even. -You cant quit once they teach you about all this, and if you want to leave you have to pay them to break your contract. -they give you about a weeks worth of training and then tell you to go out there and generate money for them. It is a cult and a scam.

    Advice to Management

The whole system seems like a trap. Why hire students who dont have the ability to paint, then tell them tough luck when they fail.

    Pros

Fun to work for, easy going. I liked that I was able to work flexible hours and have weekends off.

    Cons

The pay was mediocre for all the work we did and we also had to deal with rude customers which stunk.

    Advice to Management

Be more selective when hiring painters. Some kids I worked with did not want to be there and frequently left early

I worked at College Pro full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

good company to build a good foundation in business and entrepreneurship. Learned a lot, worked hard and made a lot of money during college.

    Cons

Sometime you don't always get the support you want and or need from the sales manager. Job is for go getters that can find the answers they need themselves.

I have been working at College Pro full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

A very select group of people work within College Pro, being around these other young entrepreneurs becomes addicting and very gratifying. Although CPP is hands down the most challenging thing I’ve undertaken, challenges are what make people grow at an accelerated pace. The knowledge I’ve gained here is helping me to figure out what my strengths are and how I can use them in the future to set myself up for success.

    Cons

When you own a business it is always on the mind. One of the biggest challenges is to compartmentalize social time versus business time to create balance in life. Once this is mastered then the business becomes really fun to run!

    Advice to Management

Keep working hard to find the right people and give them encouragement throughout the whole season. June is one of the most difficult months of the business. If you can be more hands on during this month it would be extremely helpful.

I worked at College Pro full-time

    Pros

You'll probably get promoted quickly if you don't quit

    Cons

Quoted job times always were always too short so sometimes ended up working 6 day weeks instead of the promised 4, completely disorganized, late payments

    Advice to Management

Train your employees for more than half an hour on the first day.
