Pros – Collins is working very hard to implement procedures for everything that they do. They are a very rapidly growing company and have alot of potential. The owners themselves were employees not too long ago so they are fairly sympathetic.
Cons – There is not a lot of room to move or grow about the company. They saw that they claim tuition reimbursement but you have to jump through so many hoops it is impossible to get it.
Advice to Senior Management – Please pay more attention to how your middle man is treating other employees.
Pros – Certain areas are very close knit, giving you a feeling of belonging to a family. There are many opportunities to learn for those who learn quickly and independently. There is not any micro-management. A good environment for self-starters. Many daily activities are accomplished how in the way you prefer - as long as you are getting results you will continue to be allowed to be practically unsupervised. Time off is flexible.
Cons – The compensation is below average, especially when considering retirement benefits. Severe lack of formal communication which inhibits the ability to work effectively as a team. Lack of direction in Sales causing a lack of confidence and at least hastening if not the reason for some layoffs.
Advice to Senior Management – Bring in fresh, unknown Sales personnel in the new sales arena.
