Very, very bad!

Agency Sales Representative (Current Employee)
Syracuse, NY

I have been working at Colonial Life & Accident as a contractor for less than a year

ProsChance to provide good and hard working people with peace of mind in the event of an accident, disability, serious illness or death. Home office seems good to deal with but they have no authority over anyone.

ConsYou are pretty much working for free. You are on straight commission ....no benefits....you do all of the work to make everyone else above you all of the money. Very unprofessional work environment. Name calling between people in positions of authority. The corporate employees make a lot of money no matter what so they don't care about making everyone play by the rules and there are some very unethical people there. They say they'll help you but then they don't. Everyone is trying to make bonus and they'll steal right out from under you and they are allowed to get away with it.

Advice to Senior ManagementTake a stand against the unethical people and get rid of them. There are good and honest people who can handle that business. Keep your word and do what you say you're going to do. Answer emails and/or pick up the phone to resolve things. Put things in writing.
