Mitch Haddon
Current Employee – been working at Colonial Webb full-time for more than 8 years
Pros – The construction market has been very tough but they remained very loyal to their good performing people. Almost of of their promotions go to internal candidates. Their pay is up in the top percentiles. Their diversification in service and industrial refrigeration makes them diversified enough to survive the ups and downs of construction. There are lots of long-term employees.
Cons – There are still a few supervisors and managers that talk about servant leadership but don't act it. Construction is half of their business and the construction market is still weak. They are an agressive company when it comes to meeting customers' needs. If you can't stand that heat then get out of the kitchen!
Advice to Senior Management – Open your eyes and deal with your "posers". You have some great leaders but they are tainted by the bad ones.

Former Employee – worked at Colonial Webb full-time for less than a year
Pros – The office is clean and cofortable and the parking is convenient. The benefits package is desirable.
Cons – Management behavior is very unprofessional. Ethics are touted but not usual practice. Hostile work environment for those who choose to question the status quo. Be prepared be escorted to the door if you choose to question management in any way.
Advice to Senior Management – A lesson in professionalism and business ethics course is needed.

Current Employee – been working at Colonial Webb full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – Attractive building, plenty of parking and great for large egos.
Cons – Each department is held, managed and regarded as a private entity within itself {sharing information to better grow the company is not permitted}. Company motto "Your All Expendable!"
Advice to Senior Management – A Business Ethics course would be advised and a personal etiquette course wouldn't hurt.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Former Employee – worked at Colonial Webb full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – The building is nice. The part of town the office in is nice. Plenty of good parking.
Cons – No diversity in Executives.. They really don't want to hear your opinions or ideas. The company is very one sided, always looking out for itself (profits) not its employees. A very hostile environment to work in.
Advice to Senior Management – RETIRE!! And let someone else run the business, you are clearly out of touch and under qualified to make any positive changes for the company.

Current Employee – been working at Colonial Webb full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – Great health benefits, vacation time, good location, plenty of parking and an overall great company presentation and/or well sold.
Cons – after about a 1 year start looking for another company for the long term career goals set by yourself, because one thing you can count on is you will always be replaced (always on Fridays at 4 p.m.) The more you accomplish and the more achieve the sooner you will be displaced.
Advice to Senior Management – As a whole go back to school and focus and business ethics.

Current Employee – been working at Colonial Webb
Pros – The types of projects and opportunities for entry-level engineers to work on are trumendous. Not sure how they keep getting this type of work.
Cons – Preparation, training, and development of people is lacking. There is a lot of talk of doing things for employees and families, but the culture starting at the top is one of disrespect and "just do your job".
Advice to Senior Management – Out with the old and in with the new. There are some midlevel and up and coming rising stars within the organization that get it. I don't really believe they will stick around long enough for when times get better, which is too bad. The only reason some of us are here is because of these people. When they leave, we will as well.
